My husband's cowirker said he saw a piece on one the morning news shows where e-cigs had been made illegal. I searched a couple of those am news shows & found nothing. I searched the FDA's site and found nothing (though that site is like navigating a disaster area)

I know they are illegal in Austrailia and Canada but not the USA! Say it isn't so!

PLEASE say it isn't true!! I don't have time to read through hundreds of post & articles; can someone direct me to real (current) info on this or a straight answer at the very least???

Side note: My husband & I have been using e-cigs for a little while now. It's the 1st time we've ever felt like we had a real chance at quitting smoking. We're each smoking about half of what we were before and I've noticed my smoke breaks at work getting further apart. We NEED this! My sense of smell has begun to return for pete's sake and I stink!

Have you been arrested yet? Rumors are a dime a dozen. There are a lot of people on the forum from Canada, And Australia too. They may be banned in some areas, but that won't stop a loyal vaper.

The news story was inaccurate. I know this for a fact because EVERY news story to date has been inaccurate.

Your co-worker was also mistaken because even the most inaccurate news reports have not reported that e-cigs are illegal.

There has not even been any discussion of making e-cigs illegal in the united states but the FDA is trying to prohibit or regulate the sale and advertising of the product but even if they get what they are pushing for it still will not make it illegal to possess or use an e-cig.

Judge Leon out of the Federal District Court in DC has held a hearing on the merits of the case in SE v. FDA and the matter is now under advisement. He will make his ruling very quickly as it is a request for a Premlimary Injunction. So the e-cig has not been delcared by any court of competent jurisdiciton illicit yet---we will have to wait for Judge Leon's decision and subsequent appeals if need be---Sun

ech. Husband's coworker said he saw it either on The Today Show or the local news & that it was a doctor saying it was illegal. I ran a search on The Today Show & the earliest thing that came up was from January.

But of course when I was first told this I was freaking out because husband & I are *this close* to quitting cigarettes (AND being ok with it!) I suppose I was paranoid for no reason because I haven't heard anything else about e-cigs being made illegal in USA.

Though these constant scares makes one want to stock up, eh? Just in case :D
