I've been eying the e-Hookah from ehookah.net, but the site seems a bit fishy (it looks like the same one that was apparently available from greensmoke a while back)...I was told there are other ones available, but I can't find any other sites with them.

Anybody have some links to good e-hookahs?

Note: I'm not looking for the "e-hookah" from Xhale 02...that's just the name of an e-cig. I mean an actual e-hookah.

Could be a variation on a commercial fog machine (like, uses the heating element). Reservoir above, drips on a BIG atty below in what would be the water chamber, and normal hookah hoses... but man, that would be juice hog, eh?

But still, modifying an existing hookah wouldn't take a rocket scientist... The ones I'm seeing on a google search are all using electrical heat on actual tobacco, so it's not like an e-cig. But an e-hookah isn't un-doable, I think.

Personally, I'd rather get a new fountain }:)

Yeah, the electronic hookahs I've actually seen all heated tobacco, like an "herbal vaporizer" does.

Going by their own 'archives' page, it looks like the webpage, ehookah.net, has only been updated the one time, November 2009. I would think, if it was still a valid project, that this close to the 'starting to ship' date it would have been updated with more info and photos of the unit...

It would pretty easy to mod one I think. The way I see it being practical is for their to be a communal power supply (ac/dc converter for wall, or large battery pack built into the base) and everyone has their own momentary switch and atty connector.

Obviously you're not water filtering the vapor...

Hmmm, I may have to get the old tobacco hookah out of storage and see what I can do with it....

I was thinking of something more like a MASSIVE dripper, with multiple hoses and one HUGE heating coil... drop a full ml on the coil, hit the switch, and everbody puffs away when the (formerly water) vapor chamber fills up. Would be closer to the true "hookah" experience.

I'm so buying one of these. I wonder what atomizer they take and how expensive they are to replace.

I have no idea, but I figure it would be cool for when I'm hanging out with friends, and I might even get some of them interested in vaping that way...not to mention it would just look so badass...
And I have this Alice in Wonderland obsession, so I guess that's part of the reason I've always really loved hookahs...reminds me of the caterpillar...that and one of my favorite pieces of art (by Yu Kagei).

Hubby brought a hookah back from Iraq last year. I'd use it with hookah tobacco (it puts out much more vapor than smoke; very smooth), but burning charcoal makes me very ill. So I've been planning on getting a ShiSha-Hookah Electric Coal as soon as finances allow. I'm sure this would be a great part to have for anyone who wanted to mod a hookah into an e-hookah. :)

This thing would be so cool in my office at work--where I'm permitted to vape. But it would probably be pushing the envelope a little too far...

An e-hooka would be amazing for the vaping community. Where I live hooka is huge(mainly because the large number of college students) and an e-hooka would be a perfect way to convert tons of smokers to the vape-way. I'm new to the e-cig world and still have alot to learn about the tech, but if can find the supplies I might try and make an e-hooka this weeked(I already own 4 hookas so im willing to sacrifice one for the cause)

Exactly why I want it...aside from the fact that it just looks awesome...I live near New Orleans, so you know it's pretty popular here, too.

OOO I hope one of you take pictures as it goes together I would love a ehookah.. I just know the Hubbs could build one for me :)

Oooh...I didn't even think about it 'til just now, but once I have one, my dad can probably take a look at it with me and help me figure out how to build another one...that would be fun hehe...

And of course, if I do get it, I will take lots of detailed photos for my review + info, and I'd do the same thing if I wound up building one.
