Hello from Alabama. I've been playing around with e-cigs for a few weeks now but still haven't stopped smoking though I have cut down, I smoked about 2 packs a day and am now on 1 pack some days and anywhere from 2-3 cigs on others. I bought a cheap Viking e-cig from a gas station first and then a ego c twist which I'm enjoying I did order new tanks ( smoktech t-dux 2.0 ) which I'm waiting on, in the meantime I've been reading this forum trying to learn.

I have noticed the amount of e-liquid most seem to go through in a day but have noticed my level in the tank never seems to change. Even on the days when I only smoke 2-3 regular cigs and use the e-cig the rest of the day. I still have the same level from filling it a week ago? Sometimes I'll just take a hit or two off of it at a time, other times I'll be vaping for 10-20 minutes at a time. Could the level not changing be why I'm still struggling with giving up on my cigs? If so will new tanks helps with this?

I don't start noticing my juice getting lower until way later in the day. I am also constantly vaping. So if you aren't hitting it all the time you may not notice. All, what voltage are you set at? It may not be burning that fast.

Have it on 34. Played around with setting it higher but the juice seems to have a better taste on this setting. It's banana pudding. I guess I shouldn't be complaining about not going though a lot of juice. I filled it to 1.6 ml when I got this flavor on Monday morning and as of right now it's on barely at 1.4 ml. Maybe I'm just not using it enough but I seems like I'm using it a lot.

Where can I get one of these magic clearos that once filled will vape indefinitely?!?! :matrix:

I find it incredibly hard to believe. If you are still smoking a pack a day then you probably aren't vaping a whole lot :glare:

If you in fact ARE vaping a fair amount, then there must be something wrong to keep you still wanting to smoke a whole pack! Too low voltage perhaps? A bad coil? Something doesn't add up here...

I should have been more clear I guess, there are some days that I have still smoked a pack, and others where I have only smoked 2-3 regular cigs... Last week I was doing better vaping more than smoking from I guess Tuesday to Sunday I was smoking 1-2 cigs in the morning and 1 before bed. Monday I smoked 3 cigs, Tuesday I think 5 or 6, Wed and Thursday I smoked a whole pack each day I think because of this chest cold I have seems to be making vaping uncomfortable for me, plus I have always seemed to chain smoke more when sick and laying around bored. I did however still use the e-cig enough to keep me from smoking my usual 2 packs those 2 days. Today I have already smoked 5 cigs as of noon. Monday was when I filled my tank.

It sounds like you are either not hitting it enough or your voltage is too low. Even on slack days when I can't vape as much, I still run through a tank a day in my EVOD! There has to be something wrong there. That may be the reason you are having such a time cutting back on the cigs. I know for me that I smoked 2+ PPD (depending on the day) and I started at 24mg and never picked up another one. Now I can't stand the smell of them when I get around them. Hope this helps you in your journey!

That seems odd. I've been hitting my clearo pretty hard for the last hour (which is about to stop for a number of hours until late in the afternoon), and I've noticeably drained it--about a third, or 0.8 ml or so.

And that's at a piddling 3.6 volts and 2.2 ohms, or pretty low power.

If you're putting out vapor, you may not be using it very much. While there may not be as much vapor as there would be smoke from a cigarette, it shouldn't be a minor trickle or anything. If it is, you may have a bad head, poor contact with the battery, or something else might be wrong.

weird... when you use it, do you exhale vapor?? I go thru 3-4 ml a day... but .2 ml in a week... I loose that much just refilling :)

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? When I filled the tank I held the button down a few seconds before vaping I didn't really notice if the juice went down while doing that, didn't think to look. Before vaping I hit the button for a second then hold button down and inhale, I have lots of vapor coming out when I exhale.

If you have an ego-type device, you need to keep the button pressed down all the while you are inhaling the vapor, then release. It sounds like maybe you are just hitting the button too briefly, then inhaling, which would not really work to get the juice vaporized effectively.

That is probably why you are not using up the juice, and also why you are still smoking so much. If you're not getting vapor with nicotine in it, you will still want to smoke a lot.

I just edited where I wrote that because I realized how I put in sounded like I was doing that. Sorry :) no I hold it down the whole time I'm vaping and it makes a noise while I'm doing it. Not gurgling more of a deep hissing noise hard to describe.

Pull on the setup like you would a straw. Make sure your mouth is filled (I do mean filled) with vapor before you let off the button. Now inhale, if you choose to, and exhale from mouth or nose. There should be A LOT of vapor exhaled... at least 3 or 4 times the equivalent from an inhaled smoke. That's at anywhere from 3.3 to 3.7 volts with a 1.8 or 2.2 ohm atty (clearo.) If this isn't happening, then you aren't using juice.

Edit: You may have to do 2 (the usual) or 3 short puffs while holding the button down continuously before the puff that fills your mouth ... that's called "priming"... which will be a looooong pull. Don't let off the button during priming and the final mouth-filling puff.

Note: the number of priming puffs you need to do will vary with the state of your atty (how much gunk has built up on it) sometimes one primer will do.. other times 2 or 3. You'll know how many are needed by how fast your mouth fills with your final mouth-filling pull.
