Alcohol urine tests are very, very sensitive. The widely used EtG (a metabolite of alcohol) test is known to create false positives by people who use hand sanitizer, deoderant, or cosmetics that contain alcohol. So be very careful to stick to ejuice that is known to contain absolutely no alcohol while doing the urine tests.

Good luck with your treatment! The more you put into it the more you'll get back. I've lived life as a user and in recovery. I'll take my worse days of recovery over my best days of using, hands down. Life can be amazing and full of opportunity without drugs and alcohol.

Thanks guys. I'm only 21, most people my age aren't trying to get a grip on this whole recovery thing... Nice to know there are people who care outside of meetings themselves lol. Keep up the good work!

There are a few "young people's" meetings in my area and were critical in my early recovery to put me in touch with people my own age. check your meeting list it may make it easier if you know you're not the only one your age. Listen to the old timers though, they know exactly when to put a foot in your ... when you might be getting a little squirlly.

Just get another day brother

Thanks my man! So one last question, I found a bottle of "Dream Tea" from Mt Baker Vapor, and read online that the owner does not add alcohol to the juice.

The ingredients show,"Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerin, Natural & Artificial Flavorings, Nicotine."

So do you guys think with this juice I should be ok with taking the UA's? Or does anyone know if there are any interactions with the PG/VG on the test? I tried to look it up, haven't really found anything. Thanks!

I'm also a friend of Bill W.'s, I got into recovery at 23, and am 26 now. I have 2 years clean & sober. I thought this was an excellent question as i was curious myself. Thank you for the topic! :)

Should be fine. The tests detect metabolites of ethyl alcohol (drinking alcohol), which you wouldn't have from PG or VG. You probably already ingest PG since it's used in foods.

Alcohol wasn't my drug of choice...

Mine either. And it looks like you are a musician? I was a working musician for a number or years. Bad habits kind of go hand in hand with the occupation. I'm older than you, I rarely talk about this kind of stuff, much less on a forum, but come Oct 25th I will have kicked my habit 16 years ago. Good for you for getting a grip on it early. I maintained a habit for 13 years non-stop. I will tell you it destroyed my career of playing music on any professional level. But, things have a funny way of working out. Sometimes for the better. If you want them to. No idea about the juice, just wanted to say good for you.

Hey everyone. I recently purchased some e juice from a local head shop because I was out and didn't want to wait a couple of days for some in the mail. I am currently in recovery and treatment, and just want to make sure that vaping the alcohol that is in the juice won't interfere with any urine analysis testing I have to do?

I know it's a stupid question, and I don't think there is enough alcohol for it to be traced in urine through vaping, but I just wanted to ask just to be safe.

Thanks yall,
Tyler

No question is stupid when it comes to your sobriety!!! It is so nice to see fellow addicts on this forum! :) I use the hot water steeping method on my juices that seem like they have alcohol in them- mostly because it makes the flavor less enjoyable but also because I like to avoid ingesting alcohol because I too and in recovery!!! :) I take the lid off the bottle and let it sit in a hot water bath for a few- shake shake shake and repeat two or three times- and breathing fresh air into the bottle each time i reheat my water!!! :) it helps a lot!
