first off I'm a recovering alcoholic which is why this is slightly concerning to me.

With that said I ordered from ablution- I checke the ingredients of the juice online before I ordered and it said none of them had ethyl alcohol- however on the labels it said: MAY contain ethyl alcohol amongst the other ingredients- so I double checked and online no alcohol was listed in the ingredients- furthermore it said in their FAQ that alcohol was going to be phased out of their flavors by 2014.

So what do you guys think- you think I'm good? And in the case that there is by some off chance some alcohol in the juice would it show in my system? I get piss tested 2x a week and they test for enzymes created by alcohol consumption. Thanks for the info- oh and finally would the alcohol vaporize at such high temps that I wouldn't even get any in my system?

Thanks!

So, likely the only alcohol that would be used are flavors that are alcohol based. So it will be very dilute no matter what. What you can do to make sure is when you receive the juice, take the top off and let it sit for a few days. The Alcohol should evaporate off and everything should be fine.

I understand exactly where you're coming from. I wouldn't be too worried about it.

alcohol evaporates pretty quickly if you leave the cap of your juice ans let it breath for 24 hours. with some juices this is needed to get rid of the chemical taste but even with alcohol based flavors the amount would be extremely low. many flavorings used in foods contain alcohol but do not create a problem for drug or alcohol testing when used in edibles. the level is just too low.

I was subject to random drug test for over 20 years as a commercial driver and never had a problem because of alcohol in food flavoring and the ones in markets have a lot more alcohol then the flavoring used in e-juice. I don't think you have anything to worry about. my girlfriend is in court ordered rehab and gets tested a few times a week. she vapes and has never come up dirty

Is any of this even the point? ASK the vendor if there is ethyl alcohol in your juice. It sounds to me that you are a consumer purchasing a product who can't even know what the darn ingredients are.

The POINT is that if you send $$ to a vendor, who says something isn't in the ejuice, then there is.........that is what the whole 74% of eliquids tested positive for diacetyls when they said there wasn't any in their ejuice.

Not acceptable.

Tell them why you need to know.....Labelling should match what is advertised on the website, but only those who are mixing the ejuice will know. please call vendor.....they will know what is in there.....or if all the EA is out as it said on website. However, if there is alcohol, ask for refund or replacement of juice w/out it. You have a right to know what you are BUYING. I'm sure the vendor will have no problem helping you......they want to keep you as a customer and you enjoy their product.;)

Yes, we understand, but it's easy to not be worried when this OP is getting piss tested.....this is an important matter for them. He has to worry about it, otherwise he would not have brought it up.

The 'understanding' part was about the recovering alcoholic part.

The reason I said that is because I was getting these tests while vaping and didn't fail any. They were even using the ETG style that test up to 80hours in the past for alcohol, same as the OP.

What you're saying is the heart of the problem and I agree 100% that e-liquid manufacturers should release all information (and keep it up to date) on their liquids and that it would be beneficial for the OP to contact them. However, the OP has already bought the product and wanted to know if he would be 'good' if he vaped it. I have personal experience with this and this is what I based my reply off of.
