E-Juice Expectations? My entry into E-Cigs.

Hello ECF,
This is my first step into this forum, as well as e-cigs in general. I've been an "analog" smoker for 3 years, and I'm holding my hopes high, that with a little persistence I can kick the habit. My order from intellicig-usa has been processed, and is shipping. It includes a black EVO (+charger and spare battery), the IMCC (PCC), a spare atomizer, and a 20ml bottle of ECOpure Rich. My question is, how long should I expect this bottle to last (considering I smoked between 5-10 a day), and is there anything else I should look into grabbing as I stumble into this seemingly wonderful community?

I apologize in advance if a similar thread has already been posted, and I thank this forum for convincing me to try e-cigs out.

Hey. I'm new here as well, but I've been vaping for about a year - switched over instantly with no problems other than the occasional analog when my batteries are dead and I'm out drinking. The thing that you left out of your post was the nicotine level of the e-liquid that you ordered - the level of nicotine in the e-liquid that you got will determine the amount of it that you need to vape in order to satisfy your craving for it.

I've seen a few people here claiming that the average (for people here) consumption rate is between 3 and 4ml per day of 24mg e-liquid. That's milligrams of nicotine per milliliter of e-liquid. If the assumption is that the average person here was a pack -a-day smoker, and you got the same strength e-liquid, you should expect for your bottle to last you for about two weeks. That is, assuming that your vape doesn't become a pacifier.

I'm a little unusual in that I was a pack-plus-daily smoker, but I vape very low strength e-liquid: when I mix up my own, I mix it to about 3mg or so - I tend to buy bottles of 6mg and 0mg and mix them in equal amounts, and I think that I vape at least 4ml per day - I'm intending to go to zero, but the amount that I vape jumped as I moved to lower strength e-liquids.

...and went from pseudo-tobacco flavors to things like Bananas and Vanilla Ice Cream

Good luck with it, experiment with it once you get it to see how much you need to kill the cravings, and don't feel bad if you're still puffing a real one every now and again - you'll end up hating them without trying to if you vape for long enough.

Buy enough to last awhile unless you have a store front vendor in your area.

+1 20ml ought to last you a couple of weeks, depending on how much you vape. But don't forget to factor in the fact that shipping will take a few days to a week the next time you order. It's always good to have some juice in reserve.

I recommend as soon as you determine that you have chosen an appropriate nicotine level for yourself, buy more juice. So many new people get caught short by not placing their first separate juice order soon enough.

Meanwhile, if you vape from one bottle, you can tell how much you are using per day by looking at the bottle. After a few days it should be obvious how much the bottle has gone down vs how much was in it to start.

My opinion - try some nice juice around 70%pg/30%vg or anywhere within 10% of that.

I used to smoke 5-10 cigarettes per day myself, either Camel Lights or Marlboro Mediums.
I use about 1ml per day or less, but the average is around 2.5ml to 3ml per day.

The one thing you DO NOT want to do is run out of juice.

So while that 20ml might last you at least two weeks, it might not.
There really is no way to tell for sure ahead of time.

And even if it does last you two weeks or more, you have to get another order in well before it runs out.
I would suggest getting a few small sample bottles of various strengths and flavors.

You're probably going to want to do that anyway, as soon as you get started.
It's what we all do, what we've all done, and it's almost inevitable.
:)

But if you find out that whatever strength you got (you didn't say) works for you, all the better.
Then you'll just need various flavors, but not necessarily various strengths.
