Ok so ive been making my own juice for a bit now and just now getting frustated:( i wrote down recipes i made that i like. That i had already made. But the past few times i re make them for everyrhing jus to fall flat :( just frustrating i dont know whats wrong i clean i measure i steep the ones that i feel need steeping.

My peachy mix is simply peach and sweetner with pg 30 and vg 70 each time. Tasted awesome to me sweetner was put in at 2% and my peach from fa was at 7% and was tasting perfect to me. Then i remake it this time the sweetness was off the charts and i had to extend a 60ml mix into 120ml just to tame the sweetness then i had to figure out how to mesure the peachy back up. I got it to atleast vapable but even my other mixes without sweetner are falling flat. Im at a loss does any one have any idea what % to use for certian flavor companies ie cappella, flavor apprentice ex.... Any helpful advice. Or yummy peach mixes or bakery mixes that are simple or even fruit mixes....

Sorry for bad grammer typing around a 3 year old is hard lmfao thanks again any help i just want a yummy vape

between here and there
Adding to what retired1 wrote

Flavors also age and fruit flavors are usually sweet by themselves. If these are the same original flavors in the same bottles that you originally bought, it is possible that no additional sweetner is needed. Have you tried to make the peach without any additional ingredients? I make my peach ejuice only using the flavorings and I mix 3-5 different type and vendor peach flavors together for a more rounded flavor. It usually takes at least 3 weeks to steep to be where I like it.
If the supplies you are using are 'new' compared to what you used before, it is also possible that they have not 'steeped' to the point of where your original ones were.

Plus an additional note is that as time goes on, our tastes may also change. I have some ejuice that I loved when I first made it, used it awhile, then when the bottle ran out didn't make more. I went on to another flavor. Then just recently I found I was missing that flavor so I made another bottle just like I had from the beginning......I no longer care for it. Nothing was different in the mix from my original recipe, I just found my tastes had changed.

Anyway, just a thought. I would make a small bottle of the peach with just that flavor and taste test it at a few days, then at a week. And make notes if there are changes or not.

Good luck and let us know.

:)

You may have had a change in your taste buds. I went thru several changes in the first year & a half. The last onen almost a year ago, allowed me to start vaping fruits but took away my Castle Long Reserve desire.

Were the juices you mixed previously 12 and now you are mixing 4?

If so you could need to reduce sweetness and flavor. Especially if you are using nic with a stronger taste.

Unflavored is certainly not a bad idea to sort of reset your pallete.

Edit 7% is a lot for most FA flavors

You might want to try shaking up your flavor bottles before doing a juice batch, Some flavors will separate out of mix and completely change the flavor. Just a thought.

Vaper's tongue is a real issue. Sometimes, I get the same thing. Flavors that tasted fine yesterday are bland today. Eat some citrus fruit. Drink LOTS of water to clear your system and hydrate your mouth. Buy a small bottle of Biotine mouthwash and use it every morning. It moistens and helps to restore taste buds.

Agreed...vaper's tongue sounds like a potential culprit. DaveP nailed great recommendations and spending a few days vaping unflavored will go a long ways to helping as well. To boot, many people really like unflavored. I vaped it exclusively for about 6 months, and when I went back to flavored, they were all the more powerful and enjoyable.

I mix a 120ml bottle of unflavored nic-pg-vg with every DIY session. I vape it plain and use it to tone down juices that turn out too strong.

If your noticing this with all your juices try changing to a fresh coil. As coils get old and clog they loose heat and flavor. Sweet vapes tend to wear out coils quickly.

Also you said you dropped your nic from 12 to 4. Try raising your NIC a little.

Could try:
Bread absorbs flavors, saltines can be used salt to stimulate taste buds back to normal. Bits of croissant followed by a mouthful of distilled water, then spit out after swishing is said to refresh the pallet.
Malt vinegar mouthwash will clean the palate, then vape right away.

Thanks guys. Lol yes i use new coils. I replace them when needed. Also i started at 12 in nic and slowly stepped down over time currently resting around 4 in nic.
If this is vape tounge it needs to leave now lol its been almost a week and frustrating as hell. Also i keep my supplies in a dresser in my room. Just noticing now that my dresser is above my heating vent..... Maybe it screw up my flavorings my nic is kept somewhere else due to my kids being young. For safty

Drink some pickle juice. Swish it around well. Then brush your teeth & tongue. Try to vape. If you still can't taste it you need to do the unflavored for a few days.

The "unflavored" everyone is talking about is strictly PG, VG, and nic. Mix it at your normal ratio (such as 30PG/70VG/4mg. nic). You will probably find, like many do, that the VG adds a light natural sweetness of its own.
It likely won't be a "WOW!" experience (it wasn't for me anyhow) but I found it pleasantly satisfying, and because my mind was saying unflavored, I didn't have any disappointment (and it does help with the vaper's tongue if you give it a week or more). It has found a permanent place in my rotation now because I find that when I do vape flavored it tastes better.
