I am a new user to e-cigs and just got a bottle of juice. I filled my carts last night, went to use one today and it didnt smoke right. I pulled it out of my mouth and noticed that the juice was on the end coming out of the hole and I had some on my tongue. Just wondering if this is something I need to be concerned about? I was a heavy smoker of 2-3 packs per day and now using 18mg. Any help is appreciated!

I'll second the motion that the cartridges were overfilled.

If the liquid is pooled on top after you fill it, it is overfilled. Then when you push the atomizer onto the cartridge it is going to push that excess liquid out over the lip of the cartridge where it can run down the sides and into the airflow channels. From there it is a fairly short trip to your mouth.

As another poster said, if you still have a bunch of juice in the mouthpiece, you want to pop the little endcap off your cartridge and get the excess juice that is in there out with a tissue or something.

Is it bad that I quite like the taste if I accidentally get some in my mouth
I don't think Ill be attempting to DRINK it but it never bothers me if I get any on my tongue (I never got a sore yet btw and yes I rinse lol)
Ill second that. If I get a little in my mouth I like it. I was worried at first about overdose and even wore gloves to refill carts but now I realize it "aint no thing". Is it cool to quote oneself?

I accidentally had a Large leak onto my tongue. Taste wasn't bad. LOL I do however have a soar tongue now, cause it has some small bumbs on it. I have been vaping for about 3 weeks now and it wasn't until this that I had a problem. Hell, I didn't even have a smokers cough. Vaping had cleared up my wheezing, but now I occasionally cough up some flem, which i am attributing to cleaning of my lungs! :)

I do believe my soar tongue will go away and that it was caused by the acidity of the Juice.
Happy Vaping!!

Don't worry - I get leaks some of the time, I quite like the taste  Just rinse out your mouth if it happens, water is fine, and rinse and spit, not swallow - you might get a little burn (like a chemical burn)on your tongue but it shouldn't damage the tissues permanently unless you're swallowing the stuff in large amounts (though I wouldn't swallow ANY of it to be safe lol)

Done that tons of times with my old super mini that I started out with. That was probably the only real nicotine I ever got while using it lol!

I also went from 2.5 to 3 packs a day so my guess is it's pretty hard to overdose when you are used to insane amounts if nicotine.

In the early days when I got liquid on my fingers I just wiped my hands on my pants and went on with my day, I'm sure I was absorbing it through my skin but like I said before when you are coming off a 3 pack a day (for over 20 years) habit a few drops on your skin or on your lips is nothing.
