I am still trying to figure things out and in effort to find "my" juice, ordered a whole bunch of small bottles of juice from different vendors (6 vendors so far). Most juice I got smells bad in a bottle, but DOES NOT taste bad! It tastes fine while vaping, but the bottles themselves kinda stink. I store them in a cabinet, and when I open the cabinet there is a strong smell of nicotine: smells like some cheap strong dump tobacco.

Today I got a new order of e-juice from another vendor. When I opened the box, boy, it smelled good!! Nothing like other e-juices!! It smelled like a French perfume. I was so happy. Then I start vaping it... First juice (supposed to be coffee) - was kinda coffee with prefume, ok. Second juice (supposed to be cherry) - cherry and perfume. Third juice (supposed to be amaretto) - pure perfume. From this point, I cannot get rid of that perfume smell. My atomizers, drip tips, cartridges, all smell like it (even after washing in alcohol). I washed my hands 2 times with soap - still perfume!! My hair, my house - all smell like that damn perfume now.

Yes, it's a pleasant smell, much better than a stinky nicotine, but when it's in a bottle. In e-cig it's kinda too much, I cannot smell even my food now!! LOL The question is: is it a common practice??? I am not naming the vendor, but the problem is, they were recommended here on forums, and many people go WOW from it. Is vaping a perfume a WOW?? Maybe I am missing smth?? :p

These are professional concentrated food flavorings (except for the tobacco ones but those are made by the same flavoring companies). The flavorings are not made just for ecigs. They are used in food too.

Did you get extra flavor? Some professional flavorings over a certain concentration will get a flowery aroma. For me, certain creamy flavors smell flowery but it wears off. They may need steeping. If you can take the caps and push the droppers off (push sideways) and set the bottles somewhere safe for several hours it should speed that up.

And how much nic do you have and what PG/VG ration?

You need to take off the cap AND pop the dropper tip out - I would not leave them outside - you could gets bugs and dirt?

I don't know why you would have the same odd aroma in all. Ask the vendor. if you have one juice that smells strongly right through the bottle and you store it near your other bottles, the aroma can get on the others ones. I don't know if it can get into their bottles but just having that strong smell around, including inside your atty or in your cart is going to make everything else smell=taste like it.

BTW - if you smell something like cotton candy, that is ethyl maltol sweetener aka cotton candy flavoring. Ethol maltol is used for sweetening some kinds of flavors and sucralose (liquid Splenda) used for some others.

I had ordered a bunch of juices from a vendor about a month ago and when they came in they had a very strong perfume smell and an even worse taste........turns out that they had shipped out juice that had just been mixed up......fast forward after 2 weeks of steep time and Wow ! The juices now taste great and the perfume smell is gone.

I don't mean to derail this post but I just read liquid Splenda? Oh no....

Whenever I have drank a drink with Splenda in it I've gotten a real nasty headache. I sure hope I can stay clear of juices with that in it. Or least I don't react adversely to it.

We cant use sugars in eliquid would mess up the attys...so basically the three major sweeteners used are...stevia, sucralose(splenda), and Ethyl Maltol(aka cotten candy flavoring)
As far as the headaches, well that I dont know. Might have to just experiment some. If you do get headaches from it, you could ask venders to not included any sweetener and add your own as needed or request one that doesnt give you troubles.
