Hi, all !

I know Iceland is a tiny tiny tiny country with a population of 330.000, so this doesn't concern anyone I know of on this forum, since the vape scene is tiny here, but I wanted to tell you about it nonetheless.

Pharmaceutical laws here in Iceland cover e-liquid... Anything that contains nicotine has been considered a tobacco product and anything with more than 0,9 mg ( though those guidelines cover cigarette packs, don't know how much that is in e-liq terms ) is illegal.

But, since this country is so small, and people know so little about e-cigs ( and frankly don't seem to want to learn more ) it was just simply banned... And the 2 stores that had any kind of e-liq with nicotine were forced to only sell e-liq without nicotine.

Since I discovered this fantastic phenomenon, that is e-cigs, I have sent numerous letters to various agencies, Cancer, Health, the government, just about anyone who I think would have anything to do with e-cigs.

No responses, and this was in March.

It's like nobody gives a ....... What is wrong with people ?

Why isn't this up for debate ? Why am I watching people talk about new laws but no one is even discussing this wonderful, wonderful thing ?

...... off.

We have the crappiest laws ever.

You're wrong there. It concerns all of us. Every small block that is set up against vaporizing nicotine affects each and every one of us. Once "precedent" is set, it's like a snowball rolling downhill.
Thanks for the heads up, maybe someone can find a way for Icelandic voices to be heard.

What a drag

"Swedish surgeons now refuse to operate on smokers until they give up, because of the deleterious effect smoking has on the healing process, Gudnason added."

Wow dood, why do you still live in Iceland?!

Seriously though, I get the logic behind the ban on ciggies, it makes a lot of sense from a health perspective. I just don't understand why governments feel the need to police people's habits so 'save them from themselves'.

In regards to e-cigs that's even more of a violation in individual rights. Wow Wowow. I'll never hate on California laws ever again.
