Colombia
Hey! So you are in Bogota! I am also in Bogota. Are you going to start a business here? or are you selling them here now?

I am doing it and it is not a huge market but there are a market. The problem is that the market is very reduced and just now there are 7 companies selling e-cigs in Colombia as far as I know. And some of them are doing the things very wrong in my opinion

Hey, Ccure what are they doing wrong in your opinion in Bogota/Colombia? Where are you? I'm in the north. Bogota is so friggin big, no?

No, I'm not selling them, just very interested in the idea here, but honestly don't see a real market, a large one. BTW, where can I buy one here? I'm going back to the US in a few days, but does anyone ship to Colombia? Who do you use to get stuff to Col? Besides selling, I would like to buy products here. I didn't know that there were 7 groups selling here - so try it out! pq no?

That's a very good sign that there are actually 7 companies as you say. What companies are they and where can I find them? I travel the septima pretty frequently here.

I hope the business does well, but still have doubts in the Latin market. We'll see, though. :)

PM me if you want to talk about a Colombian kinda thing.... It's not a bad idea, I just have doubts in Latin America for this... but there's the opportunity....

Colombia
PS ColUmbia is not Colombia... most Colombians get ...... about that... They say that you should at least spell the name of the country that you want to referance correctly.... So they get kinda pissy when we all spell Colombia as "Columbia" kinda thing, which is very common. It's a pretty big insult to the country of Colombia to spell their country's name wrong all the time. Like, to talk about it, and not even be able to spell it correctly.

What if everyone thought the USA was "Uneted Stats uv Americirizm" or something weird in a second language? That would be weird, no?

Not strictly true , that decision has not been made yet...e-cigs are still currently under the radar here atm..
I wouldn't say they were under the radar as far as the authorities go ApOsTle: there was a question raised in Parliament as to whether they came under the 'no smoking' legislation; many councils are issuing enforcement officers guidelines on how to distinguish traditional cigarettes from e-cigs; Trading Standards have been in touch with the larger UK retailers to ensure compliance with UK law for the liquid (including requiesting lab reports to check ingredients); and there has already been a court case where someone tried to argue that they were using an e-cig instead of a real cig in a no smokin situation (incidentally, they lost: but even I didn't believe he was using an e-cig!)

So, all in all, the authorities are very aware of e-cigs and are using the existing laws for them.

I've seen them for sale on eBuyer, and even in the Daily Mirror magazine/catalogue. They are also available for order at any UK pharmacy.... hell, I went to the market on Bank Holiday Monday and a stall was selling e-cigs there!

I do agree that they are still under the radar as far as the general public are concerned, and so far, the authorites don't seem to feel the need to make a huge fuss about them. (Hopefully, this sensible approach may long continue! :D;))

There we go. Everybody pack up and let's head to South Africa!

lol: South Africa has its downside, as I'm sure the commenter knows. Interestingly, they governmetn here has gone very hard on smoking in public places - they recently passed a law that says you may not smoke analogs in your car if there is a child in your car. But the e-cigs are all over the place - haven't really caught on here yet.
