As you country it has a reputation of a major supplier of illegal drugs such as ....... I would not have though the legality of ecigs there would be of much concern anyone living there.

Are you from the US? If so, as your country has a reputation of a major supplier of fast food and obese people, I would not have thought that the health issues of ecigs there would be much of a concern to anyone living there. Also as your country has a reputation as a major supplier of illegal drug consumers (specifically cocain), I also would not have thought the legalities of ecigs there would be much of a concern to anyone living there either.

If you are not from the US please tell me what country you are from and I will glady insert a negative reputation your country has internationally as to slander the entire population of decent people in the country you happen to live in or be from.

Ccure, I know you posted this a little while back but any update on how it has been going? Where in Colombia are you? I'm in Bogota. I've been thinking about this same thing. Besides the legality issue, can you tell me why you think there would be a decent/successful market here for pvs? I don't think there would be a great market. I can tell you my reasons (I've got 2) but I would like to be wrong about this. Why do you think it would be a good market (besides the obvious fact that pvs are pretty kick-...)?

Hey! So you are in Bogota! I am also in Bogota. Are you going to start a business here? or are you selling them here now?

I am doing it and it is not a huge market but there are a market. The problem is that the market is very reduced and just now there are 7 companies selling e-cigs in Colombia as far as I know. And some of them are doing the things very wrong in my opinion

 Nice one. My state is a major producer of beef and corn, which are used to produce fast food, which are used to produce obese people. So we're at the top of the food chain! Or the bottom. Now I'm confused...

Nice comeback.

If it wasn't for the US's stupid War on Drugs, there wouldn't be so much profit in it for Colombian farmers and they'd move on to different cash crops. Plus, it's the refining of it that makes it dangerous...coca leaves chewed in their natural state aren't much worse for one than drinking a Rockstar energy drink.

My country just loves wars on concepts and inanimate objects...really, just war in general.

Oh, I think E-cigs are legal in the Netherlands, you just can't legally advertise them and they require a warning on the packaging. Holland, a country with sensible laws, when it comes to drugs at least.

I wouldn't bother, breno is best to be left on an ignore list and forgotten about.

On another note, the wiki should be updated - maybe separating and showing a list of approved countries, and then grey areas, and then countries where they have banned their sale, but not use, and then another where use has been banned.

Hello, it's me, the reality guy that some don't like to hear about.

I'm here just to remind everyone that talking about who is and who has not been banned, will do no difference.

American tobacco and pharma companies sell their product (cigarettes and drugs), around the world, find out which ones they don't sell to (none, including Cuba and China), and you will have your list of countries that are not banned and never will.

So what I mean by that, is that you can hope and try all you want, reality is they will be banned sooner or later, one way or another everywhere.

Why?, because tobacco and pharma companies will not allow anyone to ruin their profits as they have proven throughout the ages.
The truth behind the FDA taking over tobacco regulation is about the big fish in tobacco giving the final stroke to the smaller fish.

Most likely, the only way the bans (when they happen), will be lifted is when China (origin of the e-cig patents), strikes a deal with the US government. pharma and the tobacco companies.
If we are lucky enough, that might happen before a ban is imposed here, but I doubt it a lot since the Chinese are holding almost all the cards.
That is why nothing really important one way or another has happened so far, it is animated suspension while the deals are discussed.

E-cigarettes will take years to be known by every smoker around the world without the usual commercial promotion, and they know it.

They really don't care so much about us being not so many, and already have proven that with one single flick of their wrist they can turn us into evil drug addicts.

Now anyone can bash me about how negative I am. :D

P.S. To those that are so careless...please have the decency of at least researching the name of a Country before posting anything about it.
Columbia is in the US, COLOMBIA is a South American country.
Or how would you like others to say, oh, yes the United Safes of Amerindia, sounds similar anyway right?

The OP simply wanted to know what countries have and have not banned electronic cigarettes... not whether or not it will make a difference.

For the record, I don't care one iota if they ban them worldwide as I would just vape flavored VG at around 2mg nic content.
I could make 100ml of 54mg platinum ice last a long, long time ... :D
Not that I want to see them banned, and Iwill take to the streets to stop it from ever happening.
I don't think the UK will ban them, as we give a £$%& about public health over profit. I think Obama is trying to do good things, but he is being shouted down by the fascist right and their public spin machine.
Look at the health bill as an example. The poor guy doesn't stand a chance against the hate mongers and lobbyists on the other side of the aisle :nah:
He needs to get tough and tell them to shut the ____ up.

Ehh... fascist right? Although fascism is a philosophy of the extreme left*, I can't help but agree with your point. Disregard what wikipedia claims about fascism and the far right; wikipedia isn't always correct.

Regardless, we're going to be alright. We're a numerous and educated enough group of men and women to fight this war on individual liberty and win.

*The far right would be anarchy (less government control is the general rule of thumb for fiscal conservatives). The far left would be tyranny (more government control is the general rule of thumb for fiscal liberals). If I'm mistaken, please correct me.

The OP simply wanted to know what countries have and have not banned electronic cigarettes... not the meaning of fascism, anarchy, right and left.

I've been told that before, but it is my belief that 'fascism' exists on both sides of the spectrum. The right use the word as a tool to beat the left with, but I see no difference between anarchy or tyranny in respect of both being counter productive to all that is good :)
If the right can call the left fascists, why can't it work the other way? 'Neo-con' doesn't really quite say it for me :D

Yeah, sorry
I went off into rant mode but the initial point of my post was that the UK has not banned them, and I don't believe they ever will for the reasons I stated.

I am actually from the UK although, I was making the point that even if ecigs were banned there I would expect you could get them of the black market. For example the tax on cigarette in the UK is very high hence I get black market cigarettes from Belgium whihc are much cheaper although technically illegal to sell.

If for example ecigarettes were banned here I expect I could probably be able to get the stuff anyway on the black market one way or another eventually. That could take a while to happen as I am not cure the market is very big, however certaintly eliquid is very easy to smuggle volume wise.

Anyhow they can hardly throw you into jail for smoking nicotine as they would have to do the same for anlogue smokers!!

Anyway I don't see anything wrong with drugs, what is wrong is banning them, it should be up the the individuals educted personal choice what he or she consumnes.
