Ok so I screwed up. Lol. I'd read about a crock pot bath to speed up the steeping process. I recently received an order from hhv and let's say I didn't enjoy most of the flavours I got so I decided to speed up steeping up. We'll I forgot the bottles were in there and it sat overnight on high. About ten hours. Would've the plastic in the bottles or the juice itself be damaged? Not flavour wise but I'm concerned for safety. Thanks

Ive been using my crock pot for mths...and im very happy...low heat of 125f for 2 or 3 hrs...flavours + PG and VG...into a amber glass bottle...after heating...I place into dark cupboard for a week, doing daily shaking.. then I add nicotine..wait 2 more days or so before vaping...and of course ill have a little taste along the way...I look at the crook pot as a way of blending...I ve tried the wait game.point taken...but I do think the crook pot gives it the edge....and of course never use plastic bottles...and make sure you have a timer...:2c:

I have speed steeped ejuice at 120 - 140F in both water and air in the plastic botles wich most equice comes in both premade and my DIY ones without any issues.

Many say 125F is the max. but my test at a max. of 140F dd not result in any burnt or plastic taste. Months ago I found a test conducted by a veteran DIY ejuicer who also is a chemist and he concluded that 140F was fine and that each hour at that tmp. was equal to roughly one week at room temperture.

One thing is for sure there are as many opinions on steeping as there are on tase.

If your liquids have nicotine in them say goodbye to it as heat is the number one killer of nicotine. By the time you guys are done with the steeping process your juice will have none left.

I cant say for sure..very debatable..i just have got into a habit of adding nicotine ...after Mixing/ crock pot/ sitting for a week...works for me...;)

If nic is so easily destroyed by heat then what happns to it when it is vaporized? Many who " Sports Vape" using micro Ohm coils at11 to 15 watts or more get to much of a Nic buzz at even 6 mg per mg of nic.

Light and heat cause Nic to yellow and some say the taste changes a little but some like the taste better than perfectly clear nic.

If heat steeping destroyed the Nic then I would likely be suffering from severe Nic withdrawal. Iwas a tobacco users for over 50 years. Cigars, pipes , cigerates and chewing tobacco. Since starting vaping I have droped fom 18mg to 11 mg and have not touched tobacco in months .

that means I hve in fact done so myself and have done so long enough ago to have real experience with the results.
