hey guys, so im not new to the ecig world but this one has me stumped... i have a kanger protank II (fat version), and a standard long ego battery, rocking a 2.3ohm coil (comes standard in the kangers), and the coil is dual wick (again standard)... well, my FAVORITE e-liquid flavor is viquid's "cherry lemon" mmmmm i mean damn it is good! i can hit it alllllll day haha. Anyways, viquid is 100%pg liquid and from my digging around pg is more viscous than vg. This means that it takes longer to wick up to the coil... which leads me to my issue... because it takes so long to wick, i constantly find myself burning out wicks SUPER fast and i hate it, it has caused so much unneeded maintenance... so here are my two questions;

1: has anyone else had this issue?
2: I know i could just buy some vg and mix it in with the viquid to thin it out and make it wick easier... but would that dilute the taste?(thats my main question)

so yeah, tl;dr could if i thin out pg with vg, will it dilute the flavor?

P.S. its obviously possible to to pg vg mixes as puff king and 777 are mixed glycerins...

anyways, any light on this topic would be wonderful

thanks,zakk:vapor:

apparently its thicker than vg is haha... and thats what i want, i want the liquid to wick up faster, thus my wicks dont get burnt out :D

EDIT------------ pg is thinner than vg is so i apologize about that... however... i still dont understand why my wicks are burning so fast... i dont hit them over excessively... like my wicks will literally last me 2 maybe 3 days... what do.

I know bout dry hits, doesnt do crap. And yes dual wick, take off the head and there is two wicks stacked ontop of each other, thus dual wick. And i know bout the pt3 haha i know the differences, like i said im not new to ecigs :p im just stumped on why my wicks are burning out so fast. Ive tried all the usual help nonsense, dry hitting, letting it wick up for 20-30 min after fills. Etc etc. and i havent heard anything negative about viquids eliquid... Ive also tried buying new coils aswell only to have the same result. An no im not boosting voltage, i dotn havea variable battery

adding anything will dilute the flavor btw... not sure if that was answered before...

i suggest go to your local b&m if there is one... request to try a mod with your pt... see if that works... or... just ask them... more than likely they will try and make a simple sale... but there is a possibility of them helping you figure out whats wrong...

By dual wick I think he means the wick through the coil and the one on top, the flavor coil, which is standard for the PT II.

If you're burning through coils fast, try cleaning 'em every re-fill. Rinse with hot water and let 'em dry.
Is your battery variable voltage? If so, be careful how high you set it. Too high and you will burn your coils much faster.
You can rebuild your coils easily enough, just search utube.

so to answer questions;

im using the fat pt2, someone else brought up the pt3's not me haha.

as for the coils, the coils themselves arent burning its the wicks that are burning, and also with that... one of my set of wicks brand new didnt even last a full 3.5ml tank... i have a standard ego non variable battery (the long standard 3.6v kind)
