Hi guys,

I just started using my EGO-T about 2 weeks ago.. So far I have been using the same cartridge to contain my e-liquid even though i have 5.. recently, i sometimes get a leakage of the e-liquid. it seems to leak out the gaps in the at the end of the atomizer. also when i inhale during vaporing, i can feel as if some of the e-liquid went into my mouth. Any one experience this before? am i suppose to throw away a cartridge whenever i finish the liquid i fill in it?

ego-t tanks are notorious for leaking. some people have better luck using the soft silicone caps for the tanks rather than the hard plastic ones that usually come with them, you can google for these, several suppliers carry them as an accessory.

you also might consider trying cartomizers instead of the ego tank system, they are vastly simpler to use and far less prone to leaking. hold a similar amount of juice as well.

edit to say: as far as refilling, the more times you pop the cap off and put it back on, the more likely it is to leak. many people throw the plastic tank away once it starts leaking and switch to a new one (or at least a new cap for the tank).

as far as getting liquid in your mouth, once you see liquid venture up the sides of the tank cartridge and into the top area near the mouthpiece, this is inevitable. you can pull the two little plastic guards out of the mouthpiece and clean it with a pipe cleaner or something similar, but this will be a recurring thing, especially if you leave it sitting horizontally for any amount of time.

I didn't have much success with the soft silicone caps; they cut down on the leaking, but also the vapor production. As for cartos, I've tried them on the Ego-T's, but don't get much vapor because of the way the electronics work in those batteries. The effective voltage is only 3.4 - 3.2 volts, which just isn't enough. So basically I've got two 1000mah eGo-T batteries, a couple of Type B attys, and a bunch of tanks I don't use anymore.

Sometimes the tanks will leak when the juice gets down too low. Don't let your tank run dry. I've used the same tanks for almost 2 months and I have had leaks also. It's a must to keep the tanks clean which you can do by removing the cap and the two plastic parts in the mouth piece. I just run hot water over all the parts and let them dry then reassemble. The newer tanks have caps that are already punctured. I have the least amount of leakage with the pre punched tanks. Silicone caps are easier to remove but they do leak a little. When the fluid starts getting into the mouth piece you can remove the tank and blow through it then wipe of the tank and replace. Its worked for me many times.

End caps are $2.00 for 5 or 40 cents each.Silicon Joye eGo-T caps for tank cartridges (5 Pack) Very inexpensive for 2 weeks of constant use( 0.40 cents) Just choose your type. A or B.
Using a 12 gauge blunt syringe needle to punch a pilot hole in the new "soft cap" should give you
longer than 2 weeks leak free with these.

Use a paper-clip or pin to remove the top piece and wash everything out occasionally.
Tanks can be used indefinitely.

I started with the ego t and found out quickly two things about it. The first for me was not to fill the tank all the way to the top.. for when I did I would flood the atty straight out of the gate.

The 2nd was to not let it run too low as it seemed that caused it to flood the atty and start a leak as well. I would use the same tank but change out the end cap when the hole started to get too large. I had better "luck" with the soft cap vs the hard one.

I have had the liquid come up into the mouthpiece as well usually when the fluid was getting low in the tank.

I seemed to have better luck with less "leaking" using the type b atty and the larger tank. Although, it seems to be universal with last of fluid in both types that its easier for them to start flooding the atty.
