In continuance of "e-liquid review for receptive taste buds" obviously there is no solution here. We all agree that taste is subjective, we need good clean hardware, some juices need to be steeped, taste may vary depending on hardware, carts and carto’s, on and on.
An issue which no one brought up (if they did, I apologize I must have missed it) is the fact that some suppliers mix to their liking and how they vape. Case in point; I seldom drip unless I’m testing new flavors. I received an order of several juices, which I ordered in the PG/VG percentage recommended by the supplier which happened to be 50/50; fine with me.
One juice was so thick it barely came out of the bottle. I tried it in a drip tip, then tried to fill a cart and carto, had a difficult and long time filling the cart and carto with this juice. Needless to say the juice was actually too thick to vape! I’ve ordered numerous 50/50 blends elswhere and never had this problem before.
The supplier responded to my email quickly, admitting it was his fault because he only drips and mixes juices on his perception. Ah ha! This is an interesting point which got my brain spinning in various directions and will keep me up tonight.
Not so long ago the only choice we were given when purchasing juices was the nicotine level. The PG/VG percentage was at the suppliers’ discretion. I’m glad things have changed however, I have to ask if the supplier mixes juices on his perception, what if he’s making juices which taste exceptional vaped on particular hardware; hotter, cooler, high voltage, cart vs. carto…
When I test my juices I’ve noticed they taste slightly different on a KR808-1 vs. a 510 cart, vs. a 510 drip and so on. So while I ponder…could a supplier be making a juice that tastes great on his hardware and not mine? What cart mods have been made if any? Uhmmmm. How many posts have I read telling me the flavor is wrong because I’m not using the correct hardware? Maybe you’re not using the correct hardware and I am?
At the present time I’m happy with my hardware, don’t touch it, it’s all mine and I’m keeping it.
Why doesn’t someone start a forum specifically reviewing flavors vaped on particular hardware? Rather than having to sort through hundreds of reviews you go directly to the forum specific to your hardware. Maybe one step further; reviews of flavors using carts or cartos, or dripping; or all of the above on particular hardware.
And maybe we should be asking the suppliers what their criteria is in making or creating their juices? Where their products are from, what they use for sweeteners and so forth. Is your juice better dripped or in a carto? And why is your 100% VG thicker than the other guys?
Just a thought.
