Unsolicited proof that the FDA is trying to kill us in 30 years or so and as such is not to be trusted:
Next time you sit down at a plate of pancakes take a look at the bottle of syrup. What's that?! It's made out of pure high fructose corn syrup with artificial flavorings? That's basically pure fat in a bottle because that's going to turn into glucose along with the refined flour of the pancakes (+ you ever look at the sodium in pancake mix?!) and it's going straight on your abs (mmm hypertension, diabetes and obesity). BTW: Real Maple Syrup sells for around 20 bucks a quart. The FDA is trying to kill people. Not today or tomorrow but in 30 years from hypertension, heart attacks, diabetes, obesity, strokes, and cancer.
I don't eat pancakes but a few times a year but I use real maple syrup and I make my own mix out of whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar in the raw(tubinado), cinnamon (real cinnamon btw not that fake stuff they can legally label as cinnamon that is toxic to you), oats, and blueberries. I fry them in Earth Balance (vegan butter). They are so much better tasting and better for you (well as good as pancakes can be for you). You ever eat raw pancake mix? It's gross right? Well my pancake mix is awesome to eat raw, it tastes like cookies lol. So, in short, DIY juice is not the only thing I make for myself because it's better to know what goes into it. If any of that sounded good PM me and I'll give you the recipe.

Even if the FDA were regulating the e liquid industry (which i'm fairly positive they don't), it would make 0 difference!
Know what Aspartame is? It's an FDA Approved sweetener found in MANY MANY products. Guess what it also is? A Neurotoxin - go FDA!
Remember guys, the FDA is still a business, and business is all about money.
Some things the FDA Approves are all about keeping the money flowing. Not the general safety and well being of those consuming said products.
That's only one product, there are many many more out there.
But anyways, the simple fact is e liquid manufacturers can put pretty much whatever they feel like into their liquid. There are many other addictive things in cigarettes that people forget about besides just the nicotine... mostly things to just make the nicotine more addictive... i.e. ammonia. It really isn't that far fetched to believe that the liquid you got has ammonia in it, or even that with all the quality control in the world you won the worst prize ever from the e liquid lottery... you really in all honesty could have gotten an over (ammonia) saturated batch of liquid from that provider.
I would ask them for a list of ingredients, and not just trust their word on it either!! If it wasn't tested at a facility that has the equipment to do such examinations it really doesn't mean anything as far as facts go. Plus you can never rule out the whole disgruntled employee idea either, I have personally seen many many disturbing things happen working in the food industry while paying my way through college.
That does NOT mean that you should just start making wild accusations about the overall quality of the manufacturer you bought through... but it does mean you should take a little more time researching the things you are putting into your body!
Flame on if you feel, but I speak the truth and will argue this to the death.
