I tend to find high VG liquids to be a lot softer on the inhale (and usually a little less flavoursome than PG liquids).

Nic strength definitely seems to impact on the TH a lot more, I have some 6mg and 18mg in the same flavour and the difference in marked. Flavour Art in the Uk make biteXtra that helps, but I'd deffo get higher nic if I want more hit.

Nicotine level will be the most determining factor to simulating a throat hit. PG will enhance the throat light slightly.

Rough estimates
12mg = Marlboro Lights/Gold
18mg = Marlboro Reds
Higher will just simulate a quick fix.

Ok thanks - now I may have a clue why my tongue has been on fire and I have a constant sore throat - really can't believe I have put up with that nonsense to JUST QUIT already :). Perhaps my all PG 18 to 36 bottles are a little rough on me. I clearly missed the above (fantastic) rough description in my ridiculous amount of research. You rock!
