I know I'm in the minority on this (I think), but at the recommended percentages (2.5%) and up at ~4% none of the VZ tobaccos *taste* sweet to me at all; IMO the sweetness is in the aroma. Give it a shot, lick your chops on a flavor you find sweet and see if that's where it is. For me its not.

BnM gets sweet if I push it over 4%, as does French Pipe. French Pipe is the perfect example of this; there is a STRONG aroma of sweetness, but I don't taste it.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting, and another explanation is, that there is a difference between an authentic tobacco sweetness and sweetened tobacco flavors (which these are NOT IMO).
I feel the same way, my reviews should show that but again I do agree on these not being very sweet.

I suspect some of this is a result of communication and semantics. When some people say a flavor is sweet they see it as a pejorative. Not so with me, it just means I can taste some level of sweetness in the mix, whether from the flavoring, the VG, or both. If I say it's much too sweet or not nearly sweet enough then that's a bad thing. Also, the extent to which I can tolerate a certain degree of sweetness tends to vary with how long I vape that particular flavor. I may not be able to vape it for hours on end if I find it particularly sweet, but that's still not necessarily a bad thing. I may still like that flavor sweetened exactly the way it is, it just wouldn't be an extended or all day vape, which is fine. Furthermore, I don't know about other folks, but in my case this is all rather subjective. My senses and tastebuds aren't always 100% consistent. The sweetness of a given flavor may stand out to me more one day vs. the next.

Kritter, I'd suggest you start them all at the recomended 2.5% except for the caramel needs to be around 1% or a bit lower. If you are using mostly VG you might bump them up to 3% to start. Just don't go much more than 1% on the caramel, it's not a candy caramel more like a toffee and very strong.

Thanks Az, I use a 80pg/20vg mix, does the caramel mix well with tobaccos?

Yes, mixes very well with the tobaccos as does the VZ chocolate. Both are very different than other caramels & chocolates but the first thing you'll notice is wow this will go good in a tobacco.

That Caramel was made to mix with Tobacco and its a Match made in Heaven along with the vanilla. Light Chocolate is good as long as its a note. This Caramel is good with a light Tobacco note. Vz SC blend awesome together and make multi-flavor mixes easy and tasty!

Vaping Zone really is a top notch outfit. I've placed a few orders with them, they keep you posted on your order's progress and ship it out very quick. Along with the great service they have an awesome selection of hardware, pre-made e-liquid, DIY Flavors and very high quality liquid nicotine.
