E-power 14650 with Protank2

Tried a Protank2 on my E-power 14650 but doesn't seem to make connection (thinking the 510 thread post might be just a tad too deep as the mini vivi-novas have a spring loaded post where the Protank2 does not) Do you think sanding down the top of the 510 thread on the button mechanism enough for contact would work or do I need an adapter? Any advice on making the E-power 14650 and the Protank2 play together is much appreciated.

Not permanent, but you can modify the PT heads to likely solve the problem.

Remove the PT head from the base of the tank.

Gently work a fingernail between the rubber grommet and the contact pin (see pic)

Now gently work the pin out a mm or 2 being careful not to unseat the grommet (see pic)

Put the head back in the base and reassemble the unit.

You've now essentially extended the contact pin on the pt head, and when you screw it on to the unit it should make contact, and adjust itself (ie move in) to the appropriate level.

Not ideal, but should make it work.

I had the same problem with some T2's that weren't making the connection on a twist. Bought a 510 to ego adapter and all was well. If you're only using Protank, or other 510 connectors, this would work. 510 Shorty Extension Sealed - E Cig eGo, E juice, Mods, Cartomizers, Liquid Nicotine, DIY Flavorings It does make the tank sit a little higher, but it works. It's also sealed so if the tank leaks, it shouldn't get into the mod. I made the mistake of leaving my Vamo/Protank2 in direct sunlight for not that long. Unfortunately I didn't realize it had leaked and tried to vape with it. Goodbye Vamo.

Sorry to hear that Rickb119 (Goodbye Vamo :/) and H Niemand (Could never get my E Power to work right).
Have been using this E-power 14650 for about a year now with all same hardware (Battery tube's Stainless steel but the control head is showing brass through the chrome plate from wear, but still works :) ) so I like the mod. I hike/camp where there's no way to recharge batteries so instead of having a few ego batts/control head combos ($15ish each) I bring along a few extra 14650 batteries (1600 mah at $3.63 each at dx.com) charged up and I have a 4 day wknd of vaping in the backcountry ;)

Lite cig usa has the replacement switch/control head for $6 if anyone's interested (not sure if I lucked out with an older version of the switch, H Niemand, or if this switch would reincarnate your dust collector ;) )
E-POWER 14650 Switch Assembly

They are out of stock. I think that is the switch I have. It is the second or third version that can handle LR.
