How do I know if I have an e-power 14650 that I can turn off with the 5 clicks or not. I got it here a couple weeks ago:
14650 Carto Kit | Sweet-Vapes E-Liquid
When I try and click it 5 times fast, it doesn't seem to do anything special. Push the button again, and it just lights up like it was never off. Do I have an older one, or do I just not know how it works? It is the plastic button model. It looks just like the one in this closeup:
Crystal Clear Vaping
Any help is appreciated. I thought I was ordering one with the shutoff, which I think I would like if I had.

Thanks!
Jason

The picture from CCV is an old picture so that doesnt give any info.

All the switches have a plastic button except the first switch when the E-Power was originally introduced. Then they replaced the rubber button with a plastic button and then every switch after that has had the same plastic button.

What color is your LED, blue or white? Besides the original switch, theres been 3 different switches brought out that have the plastic button. If you have the oldest blue LED switch, it does not have the 5-click on/off feature. That switch does work really well though, but you cant turn it on and off. After that they brought out a white LED switch and that was the first time there was a 5-click on/off feature. But that switch had a lot of issues bc Smoktech did a really dumb move and made that switch only compatible with 2.0ohm and up (all the other switches were rated for 1.5ohm and up). So to replace the white LED switches that they screwed up on, Smoktech recently just brought out a new switch to replace the crappy white LED one. Its only been available for a few weeks. The newest one has a blue LED and is rated for 1.5ohm and up like the older switches, but it also has the 5-click on/off feature like the white LED switch had.

So when did you get your E-Power? Bc unless you just got the newest switch, or your switch has a white LED, its not going to have an on/off feature

Yeah thats the second switch. While it doesnt have the 5-click on/off, it actually it a really solid switch. That was the switch that I got when I bought my E-Power awhile back, and it still works great and Ive been using it for almost 6 months. It never a bad idea to have a backup though (really with all ecigs), so you could always order one of the newer switches that has the 5-click on/off. (Just make sure you dont get the white LED one, bc if you use cartos below 2.0ohm, you most likely will have problems with it) The newest blue LED switch with the 5-click on/off will work with 2.0ohm, 1.7ohm Ressurectors, 1.5ohm E-Power dual coils, etc.
Not many vendors have the newest switch yet bc it just got released recently, but I know that Hoosier has it, but is out of stock of them right now so we'll have to wait until they get more in. And I know that Crystal Clear vaping is getting them in. They were supposed to come in yesterday, but Smoktech screwed up again and sent CCV the white LED switches instead of the newest ones. I talked to Andrew though and he said that he was told the correct switches were sent out yesterday with his cartos order, so he should have them up on the site sometime next week

I'm glad to hear CCV is getting the new switches. I really want to order some of the Ressurectors. The tanks that are sold at CCV do they work well with the E Power?
When I got my E Power kit from Hoosiers I got the crappy white switch. Brent sent a replacement new blue switch promptly. They have been out of stock forever for the good switches. I hope the new switches get to where they need to go soon.

Anyone else had a problem with the new E-Power plating coming off? Within days of use the plating starting coming off mine. By the end of one weeks use it was showing the base metal - copper I think - at the contact points with my thumb and forefinger. That leaves me with black marks on my fingers. Oh - the switch itself works fine. It just looks like crap.

Waiting on my supplier to receive a new batch so he can replace it. I don't mind the "not pretty" but the black from contact with the copper is really annoying.

My 5 click is finicky... sometimes I take a single hit & it just shuts off on its own. Other times I can take 3-4, set it down and pick it up an hour later & vape away without it turning off on it's own.

It's a nice mod & works well other than that... just a little irritant, but worth muddling through.
