Good morning, afternoon or evening!

I thought it might be handy to get a list of liquids or carts (from any supplier), that deliver a serious kick without 'necessarily' a very high level of nicotine (36mg). I know that for me, getting the right flavour with the joyous searing of the throat was one of the more drawn-out processes. It would be handy for linking new members to it when they are considering their early purchases.

I'll start off with: Janty's Heavy Shag (Med/High)

I'm also interested in this. I want the same hit but not necessarily move onto a higher level of nicotine. Lately I've been making my own homebrew with Wicked's Medium 11mg tobacco flavour mixed with a melted menthol crystal or two. Gives a good lung fill but gets a bit sickly by the end of the day. I'd also be interested in anyone's advice of what other flavours might provide the same effect with lower nicotine levels.

Just tried mixing a little BP Grade Vegetable Glycerine with 555 med juice and have noticed a sweeter taste and tons more vapour but it leaves a sickly after taste after a hour or so ,also noticed that throat hit is sometimes better with med and low nicotine carts then high but then at other times better the other way round weird huh?

The hit also depends on what cig Im using too 901b is hard whilst the my bling cigar with same juice has not hit at but a lot of taste!

Just got my Screwdriver Today so about to test it now and will report back soon!!!

I'll add a vote for the Janty Heavy Shag having a hit. It made me choke and my eyes water, very harsh. Whatever floats your boat ;)
if its really got some good flavour and throat hit,it might be quite effective as a lower nic level eliquid which has still has kick, for those who want a hit but also want nic reduction...or good for more flavour retention after VG dilution...

i presume its probably similar,if not identical to Smokesters cigar liquid, which i havnt tried...so im curious as to what flavour roughly are users getting from heavy shag?

I can't comment on the flavour of the heavy shag, I was too busy trying not to choke to notice, it was irritating my throat so much. Saying that I'm not good with spicy food, chilli and pepper in anything more than mild strength are unpleasant to me.

My guess is that this would be very good for hit in low nic or diluted. I'll be diluting mine for sure and expect a hit even with loads of glycerine.

I don't know for sure if this is the same as throat hit but I have noticed that adding ethanol alcohol about 0.8ML to 10ML e-liquid or glycerin changes the smoke from smooth like air to rough and you can feel the harshness. The downside being too much alcohol and the amount of smoke gets less.

That's very useful information, so far we've guessed that throat hit/harshness could be because of a combination of:

acidity/pH (alkalinity increases harshness)
nicotine levels
additives (maybe pepper?)
atomiser efficiency

Alcohol might change pH or have some other properties that cause harshness.

Has anyone else who uses alcohol in their mixes noticed a change in hit?

Everyone is talking about 'Hit' from juice and forgetting that a decent battery will make a world of difference. Having tried for a few days running a 901 atomiser on 3 AA batteries I can now say that the 'Hit' and vapor are much better that just using the standard 901 batteries.

Grumpy you're totally on the money there.

Fresh battery is one of the most important factors in hit from what I can tell.

Speaking of which, I'm going to swap mine out right now.

Hi all Ive been experimenting for weeks to get the throat hit science down to a tee. There are 3 main parts to this science.

1 Ive noticed VG is much smoother than PG

2 also the atomiser does plays a massive part .

3 flavours and nic levels

I have 4 atomisers -first 3 which I do not use very often which give

and medium hit with 18mg Juice

The 4th I use almost all the time

as most of you know the hit seems to drop off as the days go past

I have now mastered a neat little trick that can help you get the hit back

in some cases better than when new.But unfortunately you need a manual

battery system to do the next part, be very carefull as you can fry the

atomiser if your not carefull .

press the manual button to heat the atomiser keep blowing down into the

chamber while you do this , as soon as you see the coil glow red stop !

repeat this 1 more time and bingo !

You will now most definately get a pukka sharper hit until its time to do it again !

As for nic levels and flavouring Im still working hard on many different

variations and will post some results up real soon !

Hope it helps some of you guys.
