Been using a brand called Vapor Extreme for a little over a year & lately it's been irritating the back of my throat & I find myself trying to clear it through out the day, but it's really bad by the end of the day. I have tried lower nicotine level which helped a little, the store owner assured me that their juice is higher in VG than PG, so I was wondering even the vape tastes the same could they have changed the ingredients? Also she let it drop that their juice is imported & I've heard some bad things about juice from China. If anyone has some info or suggestions any help would be greatly appreciated.

Usually the culprit for irritation is PG. but I think you know that already. sometimes we are sensitive to it at first, then we develop a sort of tolerance to it. A good example of this is my case. when I first started vaping (I know this is strange but it happened) I developed sores on my scalp. I've NEVER EVER had ANY THING like that in my life before so I did some research. Turns out I was sensitive to the PG and that is how my body reacted. instead of going to straight VG I tolerated it and soon my body became "used" to the PG. (this does not happen for everyone). now I vape 50/50 without any issues. However in your case if the irritation continues I would try moving too 100% VG and see if that works better for you. 100% VG can be harder on coils due to its thick viscosity, but it's worth it if it helps you. I do hope this helps a bit. best wishes to you. :)

Around 2 years into vaping, I developed allergies.Irritated Mouth, sores, even irritated my fillings.

Hearing that PG is the culprit, I switched to 100%VG Juice and began DIY myself with artificial flavorings. Most of the symptoms went away.
But I wasn't perfect.

Then I went to using Organic/Natural flavors and all allergies went away. Now I can vape a juice containing PG for maybe a day but
then the symptoms come back.

Mostly VG doesn't cut it, with some people any PG will trigger an allergy.

Based on my experience, don't try to tough it out, the allergy will probably get worse not better. Your situation is happening after a years exposure, not an off the bat immediate allergy.

I've heard rarely that some individuals are allergic to the VG so if going 100% VG with natural flavors doesn't help then
try the opposite.

Good luck!
