Ok so if the harshness began after having used the coil for a while then all you need to do is replace the coil and prime well and start it at lower watts until you get it where you like it. The type of coils you are using with such high wattage= the coils will wear out quicker than say a higher ohm coil used with lower wattage. So, going on what you just wrote you will need to change the coil(if you continue using the same ejuice, etc) once a week.

Good luck

Thanks. You might be right - I changed the coil, but I think the new one just doesn't agree with me for one reason or another. It's 0.4Ohm, dual coil. I suppose the best thing to do would be to go back to the only somewhat irritating original quad coil at 0.15ohm.
After the new coil is installed(a new 0.15ohm) you might want to start with the 3 mg to see if that is agreeable. Then maybe try upping it to the 6mg. If you start having the same problems then you will know that the 6mg is the problem and that strength should be used with a totally different tank/atty.

Let us know.

Good luck

Part of the fun of the journey of vaping is to find what it is that you like(can be frustrating) and what each type of tank/coil/wiring can and can't do for in determining what you want to achieve from vaping. There are so many options/ways to get to the same sweet spot and none of them is wrong, you can just taylor the experience to you.

Glad you got it sorted out. If it was the same type of metal (coils do vary) it may simply be that the other coil kind of agreed with you more. There are so many variables sometimes. I'd agree with @Sugar_and_Spice about trying 3 nic and 6 nic to see if the harshness varies, although it sounds like maybe you are doing just fine at 6 mg/ml and the coil that "works." Some coils and tanks just "work" while others don't.

Glad you are back to "enjoying" vaping :)

I know that wasting a coil is a tough call sometimes...but you very well could just have a dud, or some hotspots causing some issues... even in the replacement .4 coil...

I remember picking up a pack of aspire coils a few years ago, and literally only one in the pack was "right" the others were harsh, and created much the same experience you described. Max VG juices should be smoother, and once you have more experience a bad coil will be super easy to spot (probably will remind you of today, lol)

I get what you are saying about "satisfying" Even some MTL vapers need that big vapor production to feel "filled up" or to get their "hit size" consistent with their smoking expectations. This is why many folks aren't successful with cig-a-likes, and the more inexpensive MTL starter kits. I know mine only lasted a couple of days when I bought my first vape (Blu) and I was back on stinkies for a few months until a trusted friend expressed his disappointment and gifted me his MPV with a no name RDA on top... one hit and I was changed forever... all because I could get the volume of vape (not necessarily "big clouds") to satisfy.

Excited you were able to leverage the community to help troubleshoot, and get some food for thought!

I agree 100%. I consider myself MTL vaper but I love smooth, easy draw that produce relatively large cloud of vapor. I hate tight very long draws that produce little puffs. As everybody else I enjoy flavor but it is not the only thing that makes vaping "satisfying". I do not like "noisy" draws and I do not mean gurgling, sizzling or popping as those are mostly due to user error or are indication of too low or too high wattage or improper wicking... some atomizer are pretty loud with different sounds... I collected quite a few tanks and some are big disappointments despite the fact that many people on this forum love them... good example is my 5ML Nautilus and SXK Doggystyle. My "doggy" is not bad when it comes to flavor but it is too tight draw with small vapor puffs and I dislike hissing sound... at the same time is pain in the neck to refill it and to do that I have to use wrench. Mounting coil on SXK Doggystyle is also much more difficult than on Siren2. Today I received Joytech eGo ONE with CLR coils it is a little better draw with sufficient cloud but again I do not like loud hissing sound similar to my 5ML Nautilus tank makes. So far the most satifying vape for me comes out from Nautilus2 tank and Siren2 RTA when I nail proper wicking. My quest for perfect vape is not over yet...I will try some other RTAs and maybe even will try Berseker RDA (does it offer better/wider draw than RTA version?)

Funny watermelon is the only juice that iratates my thoat
That is odd, perhaps they used the LorAnns WaterMelon that uses artificial coloring or lots of sweetner to make it more like a candy. Nothing in most watermelon concentrates that should cause irradiation.
