I did mine without cutting the wire so I could still use it. Need to find a good adhesive still to put it back together and not get any leaking.

It's in post #4. It leaked at the bottom of the tube where the connector comes apart. I did it without crushing the tube and it fits back in hard but still leaked a little. If I could find some good non-toxic adhesive, I think it would be fine.

Would any plumbers threading tape work and would it be non-toxic?

Mighty fix-it tape. it will hold it together and is non toxic nor does it melt and has no adhesive on it, it binds to itself

Good find.
It's a 3 to 4 week for shipping lol, that's the only thing about that one, but the good idea allowed me to find others too.

yeal looks to be the same, i found mine at the local "AS SEEN ON TV " STORE

ITS MUCH BETER THEN ANY ELECTRICAL TAPE, DOESNT SHRINK WITH HEAT and bonds well.

I have been taking them apart like you did for quite a while now. Sometimes they can be put back together without leaking, sometimes not. It depends on how much the metal of the tube stretches during removal. For those that are stretched too much, all you need to do is press the fitting into the other end of the tube. Care must be taken during the press. If it gets cocked the slightest amount while pressing, it will stretch the metal. A straight press can easily be done in a vise.

You are talking about Teflon tape. It would not work in this particular case, but Teflon paste may do it. Many plumbers use that now instead of tape.

I wonder if you can put it back together in a longer carto like an old hollow ecig battery casing.
Batteries are getting smaller, and cartos are getting bigger, hahaha.

I am having a hard time finding a review about the 3ohm v4 E2's on a regular Riva/Ego/Tornado......is this what you are using? I did find a few posts saying the 2.5 ohm dont work well with these batteries, but nothing on the 3.

There are more and more as folks are receiving them. Check the other R4s threads. I think mine will be here today and I use a riva.

I was hoping to buy today, but I decided I will research this one.
I just got a Tornado last week and I love it. Find cartos that can be cleaned will make it perfect....even if they are a bit hard to refill.
I'm also keeping an eye on the uk forums.....some are having good luck with them and some arent.

Got my regular R4's yesterday. Don't have a Riva but they work ok on a standard 510 battery. At 3.7v they're *ok* but I find taking out the filler ring helps greatly. I've read that some of the XL's aren't performing as well - maybe because the juice has further to wick.

Now there might not be a specific "HOW-TO" for the E2 cartos, but there is a thread that explains how to take apart atties. Most have stated that they basically done it the same way, but you might find more info here

at least the first part about taking the outer tubing may be what you are looking for as far as a step by step.

If they don't work well for you, try the syringe mod, I love it on my R3.5's. It's pretty simple too.
