Trust me guys, I can pretty surely say that we won't be disappointed by the P3. Provape has a huge following, and the P3 has been in the works for something like 5 years. They're taking their sweet time because they would lose that following if they released a product that didn't live up to their reputation. And the reputation is this:
Safety. It will only operate under safe conditions. I can attest to this because I built microcoils on my RSST, on mesh, and it took me 45 minutes to pulse out the shorts. It took so long because when I fired the button, I had a split second to identify the short before the Provari chip kicked in and fired an error code.
Reliability. It fires every time, no questions asked. Enough said
Durability. I've seen posts about them being dropped, dunked and run over by cars.
Accuracy. It has a reasonably accurate ohm checker with .1 increments. What you set the volts at is what you get. See Phils review of the 2.5
If Provape is going to release a new device, you can bet heavy odds that the new device is going to incorporate these standards. It will not fall short, and will do exactly what it's supposed to.
I would gamble a higher amp limit, a better menu and improved looks. Not a whole lot more. Still single button, and likely a flush 22mm top, or one that interchanges like the futura. I would also bet it's going to have an updated screen, despite the testaments of the durability of the current screen.
It's going to be a heck of a device and well worth the money. I bought an Aerotank Mega for when it comes out, and I'm using it on my E-LVT right now
