Hello, everyone! New member here. I need some help from the community about my situation. Does anyone know if tinnitus from vaping resolves on its own, if you stop? It’s hard for me to sleep and concentrate during the day. Please let me know.

How do you know that vaping caused the tinnitus?

It’s the only probable cause right now. I have ruled out many things that could be the culprit.

You should probably consult your doctor. The jury is out on whether vaping can be a direct cause for tinnitus. On the other hand, loud noises (including blasting your car stereo), stress, illness, etc. are well known causes.

I did consult with a few doctors. I’m not looking for medical advice on here. I came across posts from 2010-2016 that are now closed in regards to this, so I thought maybe I can ask the ECF community. Thanks for the advice though about consulting with a doctor (s). It’s the first step that I took. If someone experienced it and suspects it was from vaping or knows anyone that did, please let me know.

I don’t know much about tinnitus, but when I used to smoke hookah, I noticed more earwax, along with mucus in my nose and throat. I have allergies to strong smells, so smoking would trigger extra mucus as a kind of defense reaction. Maybe you’re having a similar response, and what you’re feeling could be linked to that.
Vape still does the same thing for me, but way less.

Sometimes, earwax buildup alone can cause strange sounds or pressure, especially when it softens or shifts with body heat. That might feel like tinnitus in some cases.

I started taking NAC (N-acetylcysteine) supplement a few weeks ago. It helps thin mucus, mainly in the lungs and sinuses, it made me feel better overall. I was suffering with a strong post-nasal drip before, so much that it would affect my breathing. (Which vaping also make it better in comparison with hookah).

If you already went to the doctor he probably gave you a best answer.
I'm not giving medical advice or anything like this, just my experience

Not yet, but I’m about ready.

Mine is ringing right now. But, my audiologist said it might because of too many birthdays. I also used to wear headphones for work before I noticed almost constant distractions.

An ear flushing did the trick one time back in the day.

If you scroll down from here the next section is called "similar threads". There are several threads about tinnitus. All pretty old.

The first one has 73 posts. Some good discussion going on in that one.

I skimmed through some of those threads. There does seem to be quite a lot of cases where folks developed tinnitus after they started vaping, and several theories about how it might be related.

But zero evidence behind any of it so far. It could easily just be some propter hoc deal. Hell, I went bald after I started vaping.

I think you are onto something there.
After I started vaping I lost 100 pounds, gained all my lean muscle build back, and every ailment I had vanished. My 80 year old body has returned to my 20 year old build, looks, and faculties.

they are similar in some aspects.would it make it to the warning label if true?

As you're fairly "new", I'll go easy on you.

No. They're not the same. The warning labels are there because the anti tobacco crowd has been going bat **** crazy over vaping for the past 20 years. There's a reason why the British Medical Association has stated that vaping is much safer than smoking. Now is it totally safe? No. But is it the same as smoking? Absolutely not. Do your research. Do your due diligence. But stating vaping is the same as smoking is a blatantly false statement and WILL get challenged here.
