Somewhere out there
Before you start mixing flavors with nic, just use your preferred VG/PG base in small bottles like 5 ml. Experiment with flavors you like and use the calculators for help. That way if your screw up only a small amount of PG/VG is wasted and not any nic. That is how I started and still do it for new flavors, just try them out small before making 30 ml :) Have fun!

The 100 drop method works great for experimenting with recipes. 100 drops equal 100 percent. It's easy, if you want ten percent flavoring you add ten drops to 90 drops of VG, You can use this method with as complex a recipe as you wish and if it stinks, 100 drops down the drain, no big deal. best part is, if you hit a winner, it is easily duplicated in whatever final quantity you wish.

@Jdurand - I love Bill's 100DT and use it for every new recipe I try out. It's a wonderful thing...isn't it? I think of Bill every time I use it.

The 100 drop method works great for experimenting with recipes. 100 drops equal 100 percent. It's easy, if you want ten percent flavoring you add ten drops to 90 drops of VG,

I have a question about the above though. If new DIYers think all they have to do in the 100DT when making a sample with 10% flavoring...is add 10 drops of it to 90 drops of VG...they're always going to end up with a sample that's 10PG/90VG. No matter what ratio they actually want to end up with. Right?

Also, I'm just wondering how others do their 100DT. Do you do yours without nic, like bnrkwest recommends and possibly does? Or do you add the nic to it? I've always added the Nic, because I thought it might affect the taste, and I want a true representative sample of what my larger batch will taste like. Have you found that it makes much difference at all...if Nic isn't used in it?
