Something that Del Boy pointed out is good to mention. If you don't like a flavor right now, let it sit in a cool dark place for a couple weeks and then try it again (I know your fairly new to this and want to try everything but have patience). If your juices are made fresh to order, the flavoring needs time to blend with the nic, pg, and vg. Once a juice blends/steeps, it shows it true flavor.
Ok this is seriously good to know. When I wrote to Customer Service regarding the last two orders from DirectECig - 1st disappointing order 10 pack 8mg Marlboro flavored prefilled carts and 10ml bottle of e-liquid same flavor\strength and second disappointing order, 30ml same flavor strength as above - that they tasted nothing like the first 10 pre-filled carts that came with starter kit NOR did they taste like the next order which was a 30ml bottle (those first carts and 30ml bottle tasted GREAT!!) Their response was that I may have gotten an order which "sat in our ware house too long".
So I'm a bit confused now! It tastes better if it sits a while but if it sits too long it starts to taste like crap??? These last two orders definitely have a sort of stale cigarette taste while the first orders didn't taste like cigarettes at all but had a flavor that was sooooo addicting. I have now been Jonesing to find this same taste again! I've gotten new atomizers, cleaned my old ones in alchohol and so on. Still taste the same. Like stale Ultra Light cigarettes. LOL Their only solution was that I could try another bottle and they didn't offer to send me one for free so I suppose I would be expected to pay for it and the shipping. No thank you.
I figured the CS reps would have no idea if the manufacturer changed the formula or started getting one or more ingredients from a different source which would surely have an impact on taste so I just gave up and mixed some Pure Vanilla Extract, Some Imitation Vanilla extract, and a bit of artificial Butter flavoring to smooth out that ultra sweet taste and mixed it in a small 10ml bottle I still had with some e-liquid I picked up at a tobacco store that was supposedly 11mg strength Marlboro flavored.
What I do is remove the white plastic piece in the cart, remove batting (or wick?) blot wick well with a kleenex to remove any old juice, take cotton swabs to clean out inside of white plastic batting holder cup and interier of outer carto piece, then put batting back in white holder. Then I drip 1-2 drops of my "special mix" on batting and ontop of that drip several drops of the DirectECig juice, and then top it off with 1 drop of my "special mix". Put Cart together again, drip one drop of DirectECig juice onto atomizer itself and begin vaping. It's not fantastic but for not knowing what I am doing it's pretty darned good and it tastes WAY better than either of these "Marlboro flavored" juices taste by themselves!
I have to admit, I was fairly proud of myself for coming up with this after carefully reading through this forum. After all, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! LOL Can't wait to start REALLY experiementing with quality juices. I am a bit worried about the alcohol content in the Vanilla extract and some preservative or something in the imitation vanilla extract though. The good news is I am vaping MUCH more since I created my homemade concoction with what I could find at local stores. I even went looking for VG at Tractor Supply and they all looked at me like I was from the moon. LOL
Only drawback is not a whole lot of vape is produced and that is what I really want and need. However I can at least live with the taste for now!
