Theres a huge post by bj43 been running for two years now about the lm2596 buck modules those, they, usually need a heatsink when upwards to 4amps. Wondering if your chipset does. For a more modern approach the ti PTR08100 10amp or the PTR08060 6amp buck switch regs are offered in a sample program you can get in for about $3.00 just case, glue, wire, button, resistors, and a little bit of soldering, check Ti's website. Its called the "evercool mod" and its hugely underrated @50watts it will do 70watts comfortably with high efficiency.. Named affectionately "evercool" because unlike the lm mods it never gets warm ever lol.. I have ran mine upwards of 90watts but scared possibly skating on thin ice so I indulge at 70watts when showing off huge cloud.. Also the OKR mods they do offer a sample program but you cannot get the okr's/raptors in that program..

Here's the lm post, huge awesome reads.
