* To get on Skype:
1. Get a headset with earphones and microphone. USB or jackplugs works OK. Check the connections on your PC or laptop.
2. Or, use a laptop with webcam and microphone built in. A headset is better though.
3. Download the Skype app (google it).
4. Test your set-up by making a test call to the skype test facility.
5. You can now make free audio and/or video calls to any PC anywhere, or use the skype text chat, or take part in other chat/conference meetings that are not on skype because you know your gear works.
6. To connect with someone on skype, find skypesearch within the app, type in their skype name, and ask to be added to their Contacts.
7. Once they approve it, you can text them or call them.
8. You now have a voice, so use it
