Will power with a mix of fear from death at an early age. Im new to vaping...1 week in and it has been hell. That hopefully will all change when I get home today from work as my new volt kit sits at home waiting its trial.

I'll speed you up. 2 weeks ago I had what felt like a heart attack. An emergency room visit revealed a stress related anxiety attack. Just moved here 3 months ago, wife totalled her car 3 weeks ago, buying a new house and I had a double abscessed tooth that required a pull.

If that wasnt enough, I had a second "panic" attack and decided to get a second opinion. High blood pressure, high colesteral and an ekg later...60% blockage of 3 arteries. At just 36 years young and a family history of heart attacks and emergency quad bypass (my father), it was time to change.

So here I am. Kicked the analogs, started a new diet but damn I just didn't feel right. Got some njoy's from walmart and a couple imperial disposables to hold me over. These things suck and I wont lie. I crave an analog every single second of the day. 20+ years of smoking and its hard to just cold turkey. Im glad I found this place and can't wait to try my vaping noob volt kit. Had to do something and with time I hope I can drop the nic addiction too. Doc says that hasta go too. Baby steps and will power!

Hang in there man, I am sure with your new and improved set-up it will help you kick the cig's. It does take will power, but if you keep it up you will one day find that you no longer want a cig. You got this!

I use to smoke almost 2 packs of cigs a day and have Not had any tobacco since October 2008. Thanks Tece! I use a Phoenix and the Revolution series batts.

4 years free from 2 PAD of cigs, let me see that's about, 51,000 cigs avoided or 2.6 miles of cigarettes you didn't smoke. Awesome.

I started out on an EGO after having a short, laughable experience with some E-cig called the X-Hale 02. Ego is a great place to start for those new to vaping. Not as steep a learning curve and I personally found the whole experience much better than the "cig-Sized" E-cigs...mainly due to battery life.

Ego and DCT's did it for me too. I am glad it worked out and I agree, at least from my experience, that ego's/kgo/riva are a great place to start.

I'll share my story:

Originally got started vaping in late 2009 because cigarette smoking had been banned in bars in my city. A friend at work was using a 901 and I was intrigued. I did some brief reading and settled on the GreenCig starter kit. Then I found ECF....

I ordered a 510 kit from cignot before the GreenCig kit even arrived:
https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-510-nbx.htm

I tried the GreenCig kit, and it just didn't do it for me. The 510, however, worked pretty well. I ordered a bunch of different juices and found my favorite (still my favorite): 555. I bought a PCC and carried my kit with me everywhere. I found myself smoking fewer and fewer cigarettes.

I ordered a Smoore M602 kit from AbsolutelyECigs:
Starter Kits " Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigarettes | E-Cigs from Smoore " Fully Customisable M601 & M602 Starter Kits (Plus Accessories)

I really liked the throat hit and taste of them more than the 510, so I expanded into the rest of the Smoore M series and got a M402 kit (because it had a PCC available at the time):
Starter Kits " Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigarettes | E-Cigs from Smoore " FULLY CUSTOMISABLE M401, M402 & M403 STARTER KITS (PLUS ACCESSORIES)

Then the M601 PCC was made available and I ordered that as well. Somewhere along the way, I just stopped smoking analogs. My friend that initially turned me on to vaping started using V4L cartos, so I picked up a KR808-D1 and PCC for it as well. Never much cared for the 808, though.

Then, one fateful day, I was at a bar and the battery I was working on died. I pulled the other battery out of the PCC and it was dead too. Turns out I had run the PCC all the way down and forgotten to charge it back up again. Now I had no charged batteries to vape with. I bummed a cigarette.

I smoked analogs for the better part of two years, with all my PV gear gathering dust.

Three weeks ago, a guy comes out to the smoking balcony at work with an eGo-T. Funny, that I knew more about it than he did, but I had never seen the eGo form factor before. I took it apart and immediately recognized the 510 connector. Within an hour, I had ordered an eGo-T kit from eliquid-usa.com:
Ego C 650mAh

The kit arrived surprisingly fast, and was a HUGE improvement from the wimpy batteries (and carts) before. I have since been on a buying binge, picking up all manner of passthroughs, and as of today, an eGo-W clearo and housing.

I have had the same open pack of cigarettes for over a week (I smoked two packs a day) and there's still seven left in the pack. I haven't even carried analogs with me for five days. This time, I think it just might stick.

Like others, I was ready to quit (again LOL) and was trying to find a quit-smoking support group in my area but was finding nada.

So I started with disposable e-cigs, using them for blocks of time without having my smokes on hand. I figured harm reduction by smoking fewer cigarettes (heavy smoker, about 50 cigs per day) could only be a good thing. And it was, but there just wasn't enough of a hit off those things for it to work long term.

I got a KGO along with cartos and a selection of 24 mg juices,
KGO kit1100mAh by SLB
And was astounded that it actually satisfied my need for a cigarette. In fact, because I got such good TH and the juice was so tasty, I preferred it to smoking a cigarette, which is pretty cool after smoking heavily for 34 years.

Mostly though, I really wanted to quit. Without that want I wouldn't have bothered.

Started with an 808kit, a week later I found ECF and purchased a eGo-C kit. Used it for 3 weeks and bought a 3VO, and now I just got my Provari. Still use my eGo-C just because I keep it on a lanyard at work (dont want it falling into an electrical panel). Now if my wife will give me my debit card back I can increase my stash of juice. I smoked for over 25 years and tried everything under the sun and now I couldnt be happier because I am a VAPER :). :vapor:

Started with a store-bought S51 Trio (not too bad actually, particularly since they could use 510 parts, more of an 808 type of battery power wise. Bit pricey but not like mall kiosks. Atty sucked. Switched that out fast). Moved to 510's and tried SR atties. Was OK for a bit. Then moved to DIY mods... 3.7 volt stuff. Played with that for a while, LR atties too. Got tired of that and built a 5 volt box mod. Haven't really looked back much since.

It took 5 volts for me... fuller hit, more like a cig. Vaping one now on a 3.0ish +/- ohm atty. And it's regulated... no voltage changes until that last few hits before cutout. Basic black box (3xAA size) with an atty sticking out the top.

The eGo-T was the first setup that I was able to completely avoid analogues with. Then got an eGo-C at the begining of the year, and I discovered the awesomeness of dual coil tanks as well, which I am still completely obsessed with. Then I decided I needed variable voltage and got a LavaTube, and I am now avidly awaiting my ProVari. For me, really, what it took was the reliability and range of the tank systems to make me a full blown convert. I had tried direct dripping, and it just wasn't doing it for me. But with the tanks I was able to just set it up, and vape for hours without having to adjust much. That was really when I realized that I never wanted to be an analogue cigarette smoker ever again, I found that this new technology was so intelligent and new that I could dive head first into it and watch it evolve right before my very eyes. It is truly a modern day gift to be able to so actively observe a new technology like this take root and adapt and mature. :vapor:

I quite using a kr808d called Mistic it's really alright . I bought it 12 days ago at pilot gas station.I haven't touched or even desired an analog since then . I was really impressed but when i looked further into it I found out there was more out there that people were saying was better. If there's somthing better than this I got to try it. After some research I decided to order a bloog just to see what's up and have some fun with this quitting smoking /vaping thing.

I didn't want to quit, or at least not badly enough to try to yet again. I bought an overpriced RN4081 that helped me avoid a few cigarettes and then an M401 that was even better. Two days later, I was enjoying the ecig more than analogs, so I just stopped smoking them. An ecig that lasted a couple of hours and had a cartridge that held about 7 drops got me off cigarettes.

I quit analogs after I received my first real kit. I tried an analog about 1 1/2 weeks after quitting and it tasted like I just licked an ashtray. I first started with the Blu disposables, but quickly went online to order a regular kit since the disposables cost $10 each and I was going through 1 1/2 to 2 a day. I ended up settling on a V2 starter kit (yes I know... WAY over priced). I really liked the 808 2 piece style but the batteries didn't last very long, so I ordered another battery (Vapor Kings ...much better price than V2). Even with 2 batts, the battery life wasn't enough, so I ordered a Volt battery. Three batts was enough to vape all day (vaping one, charging one, and one on standby). Then I've went on and ordered a Volt X2 650mAh battery. Now this is 808 vaping nirvana (or so I thought). The X2 let's me vape almost all day, then I charge at night.

I've also recently acquired an eGo-W. Love the battery life, but not too wild about the "Eliq" clearomizer that came with it.

Hi all. I started with the nonrechargable Njoys from Wal-Mart. Not enough for a 2 PAD for 31 years smoker like myself. So, I next ordered a cigg style ecig from Prosmoke. Batteries were way too small and the cartridges were aweful (hate that burnt taste). A couple of weeks ago I ordered the Joye Ego C and have been cigg free for 8 days so far.

I just received my first vision clearomizer and first tank to try. I am having a great time vaping!

Tried a mall kr8 but I was smoking high nic analogs and the preloaded 16mg cartos weren't doing the trick. I would go through half a carto and grind my teeth until I gave in and lit one up. A few months later I rediscovered the kr8 and realized what the problem was and got a 3.7v eGo clone from MadVapes with some high test juice. Went from 36mg down to 18mg and soon to be 11mg.

Im using a provari mini and i quit overnight i smoked my last analog at around 8pm on a friday night i got off of work at around 945 pm checked my tracking email from provari and i seen it was delivered so i went home without buying a pack of cigarettes and this has satisfied my urge since march 30th 2012 and counting, its deff life changing i still can't believe it guys at work still smoke around me and i have no need or want to ask for a analog or smoke one for that matter i don't stink anymore and i sure feel like I'm breathing better I'm vaping some backwoods brew juice and its awesome all around greatness i said this before but i wish more people knew what they were missing/gaining by vaping and quitting cigarettes
