ECF on smartphone?

First, my apologies. I'm sure this topic has been discussed and I really did try to search and find out but to no avail.
Here's what I'd like to find out if possible -- Finally joined the current century with a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone. I'd like to be able to view and post to ECF on it like I see many people doing currently. But when I do use the Internet browser on the phone ( or at least I believe I'm using the browser) there is no way I can view the forum let alone reply to a post.
Are there certain apps I need to obtain? I do see the "Tapatalk" in threads, but I wasn't sure if that let me view or just post.
I'm really at sea here and will be grateful for any and all help offered. Thanks very much!!

Tapatalk will allow you to view and post. There's also a mobile based theme which should have been detected when you connected with your phone.

I'll second Tapatalk, best money spent on a cell phone, many forums are hooked up with it. Formatted for the screen size perfect.

Thanks very much..... this is all so new to me and sort of driving me nuts. I wonder if it even will work for me since I'm really having a time trying to use the virtual keyboard with my fat fingers....lol.

For typing get some of these, helps me considerably. Amazon.com: stylus: Cell Phones & Accessories
Your local phone store will have them, and WalMart, but will be a bit more expensive.

For the forums I use the full site option.

I have both apps on my phone but prefer the Tapatalk. It is a free app and very easy to use.

Not having tried the free tapatalk, what is the advantage of using it over the "full site" option.

Last I read, only the paid version will get future updates. Could check with tapatalk about that though.

Just installed Tapatalk (free) and didn't see anything about no updates. I was amazed at the number of downloads.... millions. I have it up and running and was able to get on ECF. I think it is coming down to a matter of personal preference. Looking at that ~5" screen and trying to read posts is giving me major eye strain. Haven't tried posting yet.
Perhaps I'll get used to the small version or (and very likely) I need to change some settings on the phone. I will continue to fiddle with it.
