Hello again. I was feeling pity on the less fortunate on ecf, and I thought I'd go through the general forum reaching out a hand to the unwashed masses from reo ills. We don't have enough of a presence and that saddens me. The reo line is amazing and there are SO MANY PEOPLE looking for a good uncomplicated vape....

Le sigh.

i think i'm lucky. i quit ciggies on 5/10/13 and received my first Reo on 6/18/13.

even in that timeframe i went thru the typical e-cig -> ego -> Vamo -> Provari dance.

although i will often recommend Reos in the general forum, i usually don't bother in the New Member forum. they almost never "get it"

and even in the general forum i'll soften it with something like "yah, a Vamo is pretty nice {blah blah blah} but i only use Reos now".

I throw a comment once in a while...but it seems like many, many people love blinky lights and 4,500 settings and the bigger the tube, the better. Some will end up here. Some won't. I hope they are happy in their quest. I know I am happy I no longer have so much as an LED on my mods anymore. It sucks knowing we have the solution that would work for almost all of them. Lots of people only want to spend $30 or so. They just end up doing it over, and over.

If the testimonials that end up here were in general, Rob would never get any sleep...

Hey now, don't give up Super_X brought me hear by means of pushing in a thread. Post the grimm green reo review, dunno if anyone else did a review, i am thinking about asking rob if he knows of vapeon.tv they have a 2 hr show every day of the week, different people but Friday seems to have a good following, I'm going to spread the word on the reddit ecig... but that may be another way to spread the good word of reo to the masses... and MOST of all, share the facts about mechs. I spent about a week or two searching for a vv/vw form of the reo because i was wrongly scared of mech mods.

There is a reo subreddit. R/REONAUTS/

EDIT: First post in REOville... maybe if I hold my ego and phone in the same hand while vaping, no one will notice.

Le sigh.

The thing is the Reo isn't for everybody. Bottom feeding is kind of it's own little category...

There is a saying... "I can't hang out in the General Forums any longer, because the answer to most every question is "Get a Reo", but they just aren't ready to hear that yet."

That's not to say they don't "get it" and are somehow inferior... it's just bottom feeding, and the thought of not using the multitude of auto-feed tank systems available like clearomizers, carto-tanks, and RBA-tanks like the Kayfun or Genny, is a hard sell for some.

If you own a Reo; your using one of a few toppers with it. The Reo itself is part of the topper in a sense, not a mere battery tube. An atty, a cartomizer, or a BF RDA are your options; and let's face it, the RDA is the way to go, and that involves rebuilding. Rebuilding is definitely not for everybody.

I think the Reo has a pretty big and loyal following, and that Rob is plenty busy and well compensated for his hard work.

Also, I rather like how Reonauts are peacefully chillin' back here in Reoville, enjoying a great vape, and always willing to help each other or new comers get the best possible experience from their Reo. It's very rare to see a Reonaut act like a fanatical PV fanboi, blindly and irrationally pushing the idea that if you don't own a Reo you are somehow inferior. (*clears throat and mutters to himself... "Provarinati")

I'll always suggest the Reo and direct people over here to Roeville when it's appropriate, because IMO there is nothing that beats a reliable and solid performing bottom feeder with an RDA. Duh!
:p

Well said funk. The reo is very, very different from the average tube with circuits in it. So many start with a cigalike or ego that it seems foreign to them, even in this world of not holding a lighter to paper. I try hard to not look fanatical, as I did when I mentioned my provari I had. Even owning one I hated watching it as the answer to every question. Now with the reo, I can answer most questions honestly with "get a reo and RM2" I think if we all fanned out and did that, it would fall on deaf ears and get answered with "fanboi" as the provari folks get.

I still remember my first reos. I came here after I bought them, got the fastest and most efficient help ever. The big problem I had, I researched enough to know for the most part what I wanted. I wish I had come here first with an open mind. I was against RBAs and atties in general, and had my own reasons worked out. I was happy with the shorty LR cartos...for a while. They weren't right for me with the gunking up and flooding and the reos went off to the side after a while. I got fed up with the chase everywhere else...and came back for an atty. I knew reo was my answer, I just needed guidance. I listened this time and when I was told to look at the RM2, I did. I was very close to ordering quality disposable atties. I looked at the cost vs. trying the RM2 and jumped. Best move I have made in vaping.

New members forum is actually where I learned of the Reo and what made me want one. After I bought it is when Joshinthecity and MamaTried and other lead me to the Reo forum. But, I had already placed my order.

The one thing that sold me was that out of all the reviews I watched or read, none bashed it but, one. Some said it wasn't theyre cup of tea but they all bragged on the quality. The one bad review was complaining of voltage drop the whole time blowing bigger clouds than most mods.

I joined ECF back in 2011 and "relapsed" back to cigarettes for about 2 years. Even back in 2011, the REO's intrigued me, and when I came back again, I came straight here (after trying some of the "new to me" gear that had evolved in 2 years).

My Provari still has a place in my lineup, as does my Kamry, but my REO's are my daily drivers and work horses.

Back in early 2011 I had just started vaping and was on a quest for a easier to use and maintain e-cig. The trend was heading towards the tanks. But most were using regular atomizers and cartos.

Someone had started a thread about juice box mods that were available. They seemed to be what I wanted. A easy way to carry juice and fill the atomizer or cartomizer. I searched all the sites. Was totally turned off when I saw they were mostly big looking wood boxes.

The REO site showed a slick and durable looking aluminum box.

I had no clue there was a REO forum. Bought a used Grand from the classy's. There were none available on the site.

Found the REO forum and like they say, "The rest is history!"

I have ventured out into the Forum and sometimes I would suggest a REO. Was not fond of the responses in most cases and stopped visiting.

There is a reo subreddit. R/REONAUTS/

I didn't know that existed! Nice!

And like others, I found out about REOs through other threads. I saw a thread titled something along the lines of "There's Got To Be a Better Way" and the member was complaining about how tedious dripping was, if I recall correctly.

A few of you chimed in about REOs, I came here, and the journey began. 2013 was a good year :D

But, I do wish that people would be more apt to learn about REOs. It pains me when they say they like dripping, wish it was easier, and don't want a REO because they don't want to rebuild. And then, one of us mentions a few of the non-rebuildable toppers for REOs, and they just stop listening. :(

Well the Reo has a couple things going against it.

It's not a tube.

There's no obnoxious laser etched logo.

It's only setting is on/locked.

it's not $230

it's not serial numbered

you can't pre-order it, no matter how hard you try

It only stands to reason that a mod, without this feature packed list, wouldn't be more popular.

the best way to get someone is keep interesting them, time and time... i kept hearing about the reo... but wasnt interested... kept hearing about, and little by little hmmm... maybe... hear a little more... hmmm let me take a look... just because someone isnt interested... they might be slowly getting intrigued, it may be growing on em...

just saying keep the posts coming, and the way that its done... slowly reels people in... which makes it (imo) more likely for them to get one...
