ECHO or EGO-C?
I'm planning on ordering a new PV this week and would like some advice from fellow ECFers. I currently have a Halo G6 Starter Kit that I can tell the batteries are on their way out. So rather than just buying more G6 batteries, I'd like to try something new since all I've ever had in my brief vaping experience are 808s (V4L and Halo G6).
I've been off and on with vaping for about a year and a half. It wasn't until I got my G6 kit that I got the hang of vaping and actually enjoyed it… before it was just an unpleasant analogue substitute. It took me a while to find a juice that I like but Halo's True Pure ended my search. While their batteries and carts are far superior to my first V4L kit, I feel like there's something I'm missing having not ever tried and Ego… or something in that family of PVs.
I've researched the Ego-C on this forum and it sounds like an improvement on the original and the T. I like the idea of tanks since I tend to get inconsistent hits from cartomizers. On the flip-side, I really don't want to deal with leaking tanks, for the hassle and since I have toddlers in the house. Based on what I've read it sounds like this was more of an issue with the Ego-T so the C is still an option I'm leaning towards buying.
What's challenging the Ego-C for me is the less familiar Echo. I've read that it's 808 threaded, which I think I like since I'm use to Halo's 808 cartomizers. Yet at the same time I'm wondering if it's time to try something different to be sure I'm not missing out. So that's why I'm posting. To find out which PV provides a better vaping experience given the following requirements, starting with most important:
1. DRAW. looking for something with a smooth and easy draw, closest to the ease of drawing on cigarette.. .not that I'd vape as quick or as hard as I smoke. Kr808s w/cartomizers tend to require a bit more of a pull especially as the battery drains. Not a good quality to have when your really craving a cigarette but substituting with a e-cig. I like a mild throat hit. I vape 6-12 mg strength True Pure and the TH from the 12mg is more than enough off my G6. I do find 6mg less satisfying in the TH department.
2. SIZE. my current G6 is a mini 65 mm kr808-d2 (i think) battery. With a whistle tip on the cartomizer, I would not want something any longer…preferably shorter. I've noticed varying Echo lengths posted here and vendor's sites so it's hard to tell if which set up to order if I prefer the shortest length.
3. SIMPLICITY. I'm very ignorant when it comes to attys. I ordered one for my G6 to test juices and it's still in the seal since I've pretty much found my juice and would like to avoid the hassle of priming it. I know the Ego-C comes with 5 atty tips, which I think would last me a while, but attys in generally sound like more unwanted maintenance ensuring it stays clean. With children, the less maintenance the better.
4. HALO. I know this specific but if anyone has had a bad experience with Halo juices on the Ego-C or Echo, I'd like to hear about it. Though it seems like it's the heavy VG juices that deviate in flavor on various PVs. But still thought I'd ask.
Wow, these words really add up. Without overly complicating my requirements I'll leave it as the four above. I would think battery life would be a wash for me between the ego-C and the Echo, especially when compared to my G6 mini. (edited my post, forgot to mention that I tend to prefer auto batteries over manual. It use to be the other way around but not anymore since the G6 doesn't require a primer puff.)
