Ecig articles on popular tech blogs

Has anyone noticed that tech blogs such as Techcrunch, Gizmodo, etc. have been publishing articles about Ecigs lately? While I suppose it's good to spread the word to the general public about PVs, the articles typically only mention the branded ripoff 510 kits. Do you believe that communities such as ECF should help educate these editors who are apparently too lazy to do actual research on PVs?

Since most of those bloggers don't care about the topic beyond writing something that generates lots of click-thrus and social media linkage, I usually don't read them. The contents are fluffed with search-engine-friendly key words and deliberately lack good information to encourage drama which = more clicks and links.
