folks, every major news broadcast in NY/NJ has carried this today, I for one would certainly like the specifics of the study, and why it's being taken seriously.

No one here, regardless of their credentials, can claim with absolute certainty that vaping is totally safe long term. That can only be determined via large, multi-year studies. Look how long it took with tobacco.

The reality is that we just don't know yet.

We're not saying its SAFE. We are saying its a LOT LESS DANGEROUS than regular cigarettes. What all those fear mongers are doing is trying to twist facts to fit their agenda. Trying to get public opinion against vaping, the antismoking militants are purposely omiting data with the intent to stamp out vaping. It is their belief that anything that even resembles smoking is going to erase all their progress over the years. And facts that don't support their agenda must be hidden.

I wonder if not being regulated by the FDA means ingredient labels aren't checked for accuracy, and ingredients aren't tested in labs for health risks. I'm not talking about good reputable companies, but there seems to be junk juice out there that can't always be trusted. I personally wouldn't mind being reassured by some sort of FDA involvement that what I put into my body is safe.
