One thing that has been holding me back on ecigs is the quality of them. I have spent a ton of money on them, and some of them are pretty good, and some of them are pretty bad, in my opinion.

My iphone lasted me 3 years, an ecig is about a month or so, maybe longer, and then there is an issue with it.

I just received an Itaste VTR, i think this thing will last for a while.

Maybe I'm being a little picky on this, but I'd rather spend the money up front with a guarantee on the thing then 60 bucks here and 60 bucks there and have a full box of broken stuff.

I also understand that I'm a picky kind of guy. Trying to change from cigs to ecigs and having them break down all the time just makes me light up again and doesn't help much.

Well hopefully the VTR won't break.

I'll be the one to say it and if you would've gone with a Provari or Reo you wouldn't have had the "nickel and diming" yourself. Those are the 2 that have guaranteed quality to match the price. It seems like a lot of coin to drop on one item but add up what you spend on all the ones you bought and could've had one. Plus you get the excellent customer service which I haven't had to use in the year I've owned my Provari.

I think you are on the right track now and I think you will enjoy the vtr. I had one for a week but ended up selling it because it was just to heavy for me and I have issues with my hands. But it was nice. I was not really trying to quit smoking but it just happened when I found out that I enjoyed the flavors more than a cigarette so I did both for a good while and the transition was absolutely painless. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope with great equipment you will change over just as easy. I would suggest to always have backups no matter what. vaping is not as easy as smoking was but even with all the backups and planning.......it's all worth it to me. Good luck and happy vaping.

You'll do what's comfortable for you until you're ready for the switch. What "ecigs" are breaking? Is it a Blu? nJoy? eGo style with a ce4? I own a provari and it's been rock solid, but there are many other choices that could work for you. Your vtr should be a solid choice. If it doesn't work for you, you should really reevaluate why you're switching. Being a dual user is just fine. More vape means less smoke, but if you're REALLY trying to vape 100% of the time takes patience. Finding the right set up FOR YOU takes a bit of trial and error.

Me, too. The genuine Joyetech Ego Twists I bought more than a year ago still work fine, and I've used them every day. The only thing I've had die on me in a month was an Ego knock off I bought from a well known China vendor

Should the VTR fail to live up to your expectations, it'll become an expensive paperweight. No Chinese mods can be repaired by the manufacturer. They build them cheap so that you can buy them cheap. When they break, they count on you to just buy another.

Then get a Provari. Made and serviced in America. In the rare event that it should dysfunction or break, you get free warranty service for a year. Even after the warranty expires, you can still get it repaired for life for very reasonable fees.

I have an iTaste SVD that I got last August. It is still working flawlessly and I use it all day, every day. I paid $40ish for it from Fasttech ($67ish with good batteries and a charger).

IMO, if you're looking for the best in reliability, look at Provari, Reos Mods and Billet Box. The rest are not comparable in this regard.

i wasent looking for a flashy mod with fancy options.
my mod has one button its a vv device...i have dropped my mod in the mud while fishing its hit concrete and chain vaped for over a year.
besides a few nicks the finish (satin black) is starting to show the steel tube its constructed from.it still works as i got it just as good as the new one i got...and yes im talking abought a provari mini. i know many peeps who have had other modsfail and they just buy another cheapo.. buy quality devices..get great results.. im not into cloud chasing just sustaining my habbit...lol

The weakest point of most Chinese mods are the threads. I have lost 2 mods due to stripped threads. I finally just got a Provari that has stainless steel threads.

Mechanical mods would seem to me to be the most reliable. With the absence of circuitry, the switch spring and threads are about all that can fail and some more popular models have replacement parts.

Bought one to explore RBAs but have found Kayfuns and Protanks to be just as enjoyable on it. Surprisingly the lack of VV/VW has not been an issue and I find myself using the mech much more often than my APVs.

I like the mech so much that the Vision Spinner I use for portability when away from home will likely be replaced with a 14500 mech whenever it fails.

I've seen the VTR hit don't own one yet; that said, if the build quality is anything like the MVP you're in good shape. However, someone may have said this- if you would have gone provari, you would have gotten what you're looking for, quality build an ld company that stands beyond its product. The think is a tank and takes one hell of a beating.
Granted I've had zero issues with my MVP either and a quality well built piece; if it breaks and needs mfg help it has to go to
China, that's IF they can fix it. Provari goes to a company who answers the phone and is in WA state with a one year warranty And very inexpensive repair prices.
Still, the VTR should last you quite a while and be an enjoyable vaping companion.

My hubs and I both have the VTR. We both love it. I use mine mostly at home, well because its so big and I'm the mom and I have a mombag Well I did... just switched to a vapin bag but I managed to make it a vapin mom bag, but its still too much extra weight to carry around. But he uses his all day every day and he loves it. He is a truck driver so its not sitting on a desk. Its in a Peterbilt shaking around all day and its still solid! Good luck!

So far my vtr is working great and my legit egos have held up great, the generic china batteries for the ego were a huge waste as they only lasted a handful of charges. As I go I learn and can weigh cost to potential reliability and function. Its a bit of trial and error and who knows someday I may end up with a provari or reo but so far I dont think ive spent to much compared to the analogs I avoided and now that I only vape that cost varience is quickly growing.

I have two MVPs and two iTaste VV v3's. All purchase in November or December. All still going strong. I expect the MVP'S to last for at least two years, considering how little I need to charge them. 3 years as the best case scenario. By then, I'll hopefully have enough for a Provari or whatever else may come out in that time. For $40, I think I'll get my money's worth from the MVPs. As for the itastes, I'm hoping for a year. Maybe less as my husband doesn't care for what he uses like I do. Still worth it, as he refuses to use a larger device. He doesn't even want to use them in public, and takes his cigalikes everywhere. Really, I suspect he'd rather smoke, and doesn't only out of guilt since I quit smoking. Regardless of the fact that all of these devices are disposable at the end, I think they're all still worth it. What works for some may not work for others, plus having a larger amount of money up front isn't possible for everyone, regardless of what they spent per day on smokes.
