Ecig sending someone to ER? thought on this?

A vaping thread started on another forum a frequent and someone posted this.

"One side effect of vaping that often gets overlooked is that it can cause atypical pneumonia. My wife spent two days in the ER because her oxygen level dropped too low. It like anything has multiple hazards, and nicotine poisoning is definitely a higher risk with them.

Until they become regulated by whoever regulates that crap, I would stay away. Quitting smoking sucks, and these things might make it easier, but until it's regulated, I wouldn't touch it. I wouldn't anyway though since I don't smoke."

anyone hear of others this happened to? He said her tank would last a few days before empty so it doesnt even sound like she was a heavy vapor.

When i go to parties I can blast away on my mech for hrs and not feel sick but im only using 6mg juice

I have heard of people having pneumonia after quitting smoking.

Atypical pneumonia is caused by 3 different types of bacteria, none of which relate to vaping:

Sounds like a typical scare tactic by someone who doesn't really seem to know what they are talking about.

yeah, just never heard of it. I know alot of vapors and none of them have any neg side effects. All teh ex smokers just talk about how good the feel now and how happy they are that they can run without dying.

Idk, feel like she started vaping and got sick and the e cig was an easy blame.

Exactly. The whole premise sounds awfully silly to me.

I go through a 30ml bottle of e-juice in a week, keeping in mind that she could last a few days with one tank I would have had multiple atypical pneumonias if e-liquid was a real cause of pneumonia haha IMO. But I'm no doctor so only my oppinion.
