Ecigs and the economy

I was thinking that if ecigs were to become mainstream soon that they they might give the slow economy a little kick. Too bad we cant suggest a stimulus for smokers to get off analogs and buy ecigs. They could just charge a federal 6 cents to the dollar for them and thus be cheaper than cancer sticks. It is late and I always come up with the strangest ideas at 2 am

UK figures I know but tobacco product tax take last year was £10bn. Add in the 6,000 people directly employed in the UK in the tobacco industry and the estimated 80,000 whose employment relies on tobacco products and I suspect the impact of increased usage of alternative nicotine inhalation devices on any world economy is negative.
