Ecigs are unsafe but NRTs are?

    Yea the entire idea of giving this type of thing to a 12 year old is ludicrous -
    I stated smoking at around age 13ish - At that point it was far from an addiction -
    This child needed counseling not nicotine replacement - It is obvious from the amount he consumed that he was trying to get high - His troubles went way beyond addiction -
    That "counselor" should be taken to task - I would say to the fullest extent of the law - But looks like the law allowed this - this is MADNESS!

    Agreed. And would take it a step further... The entire program that allows its counselors to give a toxic substance to a child without parents' knowledge should be stopped. Even as far as counseling goes I think the parents should be involved if the school thinks it's needed.

    I'd be surprised if the program is successful, anyway - when we were teens no program or counselor could have gotten us to quit smoking, and I doubt its any different today. If a kid is determined to smoke in spite of everything known about it, he's gonna do it.
