I haven't figured out how to link from another forum but a someone from Vapor4Life will be on the NBC Evening News with Brian Williams tonight (July 22nd) at 6:30pm Eastern.

Apparently NBC has been working on this story for a month and the FDA has even agreed to an interview in the piece. It will be interesting to see how they portray them. Especially with all the hoop-la concerning their health care system (or lack thereof).

So all you Canucks tune in to your border city NBC broadacast.

 Brian Williams delivered a hit piece.

"Electronic cigarettes may be no safer than the cigarettes they replace".

/sigh

And they act like no one has ever done a safety study on the product or its components, even though there have been, and nicotine is really nothing new.

I hope they enjoy Big Pharma's advertisement money for their latest pill. Woo...

I'm so sick and tired of regulatory sanctions and official bodies, especially when it concerns our health or safety, use the expression "MAY" or "MIGHT" in their statements while they try to back a decision or perspective being made in regards to our wellbeing.

It either "IS" or its "ISN'T" and they should back up their position based on facts that taxpayers expect, want and need to hear.

And I'm not only talking about e-cigs/PV's..... Anything that affects the general population and is within an agencies domain of responsibility under their mandate is worthy of government expenditure to firmly and properly provide "the people" with safe and coherent facts regarding what they come into contact/use with. And not leave it to the manufacturer or supplier to expedite such funding when items containing already approved substances or hard goods have been through adequate testing.

It boils down to their need of "educated" action when every individual in the world knows that import/export regulation and/or monitoring can NOT stop a product from entering any country cart blanch, and more so when a major group of that taxpaying population is seeking and openly using such products.

The mass media can turn the whole world against me and my e-cig I'm not stoping anytime soon. It makes me so mad listening to this sort of stuff, the masses will just beleive anything they're told. People in my area are already starting to harass me for smoking this thing, I'm not allowed to smoke it anywhere in public and barely with other smokers as they just go "Hey I've seen that thing on TV, don't smoke that around me its dangerous..." or "your and idiot your gonna get sick smoking that..." to which I gently reply "suck my left nut". I got kicked out of the mall when the rent-a-cop spotted me. Here's how it went:

Mall cop: "Hey you put that out NOW."
Me: "Hey its not a cigarette, this is only..." and he cut me off
Mall Cop: "I don't care, you get out"

Then he pulled me by the collar and almost dragged me out of the store, nice and short. Still not sure if I'm allowed in there. I was boiling mad and almost did something stupid like punch his fat ... nose to the back of his head but no I'm smarter than that. People down here are NOT intelligent and do NOT want to hear/listend/learn anything that the TV didn't say. I might as well stop this rant here cause I'm getting angry already...anyways, first man to try and take this e-cig away from me gets a nasty beating.

Go ahead canada, ban'em, I'll pour glycerin on my stove before I quit.

Geez woooozzaa, you certainly showed constraint on that one if it went exactly like you portray (I'm not doubting you in the least with a rent-a-cop).

I'd probably end up in jail myself if any flunky security guard, or anyone else for that matter, EVER touched me forcefully without explanation, provided I was calm in the initial confrontation in my response in attempting to explain in a civil matter, then having the opportunity to leave peacefully on my own account to avoid a situation.

I don't often run into similar hostel issues mostly due to my size , older appearance, and general personality, although I do get calm, explained requests to not vape in another's public place once I've had the courtesy to explain what it is rationally.

My hat's off to you in your anger control in dealing with an over zealous wanna-be......

Damn right! And realistcally, we have all reverse engineered the crap out of these things. Both the hardware and the juice people can make themselves. Prohibition anyone?

And I am amazed that the FDA and Health Canada fall back on that old nut "cancer causing agents". These guys are fuct, if the believed their own rhetoric they would have banned tobacco long ago. Oh thats right, it generates billions in revenue... Stupid me.

Glad you guys understand, its so infuriating though, nobody even takes a minute to listend to what I have to say...My friends on the other hand where kinda spooked by the device at first but now understand how it works and most agree that's its a great alternative to analogs with all its advantages. Every darn reporter makes it sound like tabacco is better, or e-cigs are just plain evil in some way. Wish I had one of these way before they even made the headlines, I probably would've vaped everywhere preaching the good news, now I can barely take it out without making a huge fuss or getting pointed at.
