This has already been discussed this weekend and the thread was closed by a moderator because the skit involved the subject of illegal substances, which is not a topic that can be discussed on ECF.

Which I think is confusing. I absolutely understand and agree with the forum's position about certain topics being taboo, but when there are issues that affect our community which happen to contain elements of topics we can't discuss, how can we discuss them?

Before someone comes along and closes the thread, I thought I'd point out that you can contact the ECF owners through this link to discuss your objections - Contact: ECF Site Manager - ECF InfoZone

I believe there is also a moderation@ecf email address, but I've never had to use it.

Don't you love freedom of speech? Oops I mean lack their of!

This is a private forum, "freedom of speech" doesn't apply.

I don't have objections, per se, my comment above is more for general pondering. I didn't like the way the thread went the other night either, which I probably contributed to by not being clearer in my posts.

I believe the issues can be discussed, but it must be done in a very discreet manner. I believe, and I could be wrong, that the forum administators are concerned about internet search engines keying in to certain "words", and they don't want any search "hits" leading to ECF concerning illegal substances.

That's how I interpret it as well. Unfortunately, ECF didn't always have that policy and the archives are online.
