Absolutely vote for the Volt. I got a Volt for the novelty factor of a cig a like after 6 months + with a mod. I am completely satisfied with it. If your friend smokes more than about 1/2 pack a day, I would worry about the ability of an e roll to keep up. I am not one to vape a bit and put it down, I vape non stop. This style would not work with the eroll, since it has such a short life and has to be in the PCC between vapes.

If your friend is often away from home and/or a computer for more than 3 hours at a time, I highly recommend getting a PCC for the Volt, too. Plus maybe they could get one of the ego size batts from SI to try out at home and test the waters for moving up.

I actually have had no problems vaping on an eRoll all day long. The kit comes with two full devices, so you can vape one while the other charges. I bring some prefilled carts in my pocket. 1180 mah of power and 3mls of juice. So easy. No fiddling. I've never tried a Volt so I can't relay any personal firsthand experience using one.

+1 for this...I'm a chain vaper. Vape until the batt's dead, swap with the charged one, rinse, and repeat. I've been doing this since 3/30, and it's still hummin' like a champ. I smoked a PAD. Also, have had no issues with thicker or darker juices at all. Also produces a very smoke-like vapor.

I would definitely recommend one for someone who really has to have the form factor of an analog.

I loved my eroll for as long as i used it. Not really into the cigalike thing anymore, i like to have a big batt and a big tank so i can go all day without thinking about it. The eroll has no issue going all day with the PCC, but required me to carry a juice bottle or prefilled carts. On a side note if prefilled carts arent an issue those rubber tips stay on nice and dont leak. You can just get a small case to keep them in like a battery case from ebay for 5 bucks works great. It hit a lot nicer than i would have expected from a little tiny ecig, and blew away my kr808 setup with cartos

I just use Joye 510s both regular and long and fill my own Boge LR 2.0-2.4 cartos with my favorite juice. I also use a Joye battery pack with them as well as a classy looking "cigarette case." This is where I buy them and have been very happy with both the products and this vendor:

Starter Kits : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

The reason I went with 510s is because they're standard (not proprietary) and I can get supplies just about anywhere not being locked into one vendor. I buy parts individually but RMV also carries kits and they have the Eroll but I prefer the convenience of cartos.
