Israel's ministry of health has decided to ban all ecigs including egos, mods, atomizers within 4-5 months
I just want to share with you guys , even though you can't do anything but giving us moral support as Dimitris and Busardo have .

I've been a smoker for almost 9 years , always stank from that crap and my general physical feeling was of disgust until 4 months ago I bought a simple ego-c and didn't look back.
since then I bought an ego-twist , started doing dry burns but that's not important... what is important is that i was finally liberated from that disgusting habit , that i don't smell like .... anymore , i don't feel headaches as much as before , girls who don't smoke are willing to show interest in me and over all i feel better than before .

But I did something horrible to the tobacco companies and my government - I stopped paying them extra Money ! how rude of me and other vapers! me and the 5-10k of my fellow vapers !
Don't forget the Pharma companies.... How dare I not quit using their disgusting 20$ gums

so as a punishment for not giving tax and money to those scums they are going to ban everything and push us back to smoking , a total ban , they are not even going to regulate them!
tell me guys? does it make any sense ? ban e-cigs but keep tobacco legal ? what the hell! it's like banning (OTHER STUFF) and selling (OTHER STUFF) ....... in supermarkets !

Let's not forget the stupid anti-smoking associations who thinks they are doing the world a favor when they attack also vapers and not only smokers , they can't put it into their tiny brains that fighting e-cigs is helping Philip Morris!

Guys I'm sorry for this rant but I'm very upset and the only thing left to do is preparing for the worse and buy enough equipment to last for a very long time , feel bad for those who still smoke who will not switch to ecigs because of that decision .

1 of our local vendors is going to appeal to the supreme court but what can they do? they are not big tobacco

I sure agree with you that this attack on e-cigs makes no sense. I have been stockpiling things here, just in case. I really don't understand why on earth this is going on other than for the reason you say--money into the hands of Big Tobacco/Pharma and tax $$ for the government. For all these years we have been warned of the dangers of cigs and now they want us back on them vs something enjoyable that so far as we know is much less harmful. Just crazy!!

It is more than clear at this point in time that the only thing important is more money and power in the hands of those who have it!...

There is no regard for what is right or wrong, sane or insane...

There is only control, which filters into every aspect of our lives...

The question is...how much longer are people willing to be controlled?

I do feel for you. It is a disgrace.

There is no logical reason to ban e-cigarettes, governments are doing it to protect tax rather than people.

I don't know how each country will "play" over the next few years, but to throw away a technology that improves people's health and life-chances is just evil.

I'm sorry to hear this but you don't have to worry a lot...
I live in Mexico and vaping is banned here, every once in a while you see a kiosk open to get closed in a few week by the authorities. there are a few underground vaping stores (not that good but helpful if in need)
fasttech (a godsend for me) is still there and there is where I get my vaping supplies.
I went into the diy route (shipping is a bit expensive but just get 500ml of 100mg nic and you will be set for a while
I also went into mechs and rdas so I have more than enough wire and wick to last me a lot.

if your country like mine makes illegal the ONLY (well not the only but the easiest) way to go is mechs, rebuildables and diy liquid.

I started vaping while it was illegal here and after a bit more than a year nothing has changed and I've really enjoyed my journey... sometimes I feel that the banning here has helped me make right decisions on what equipment and juice to buy and not hoard that much.

I worry much more in bans in the US rather than in my own country as if they ban it there it will definitely cripple the vaping world and inovation

I nominate this as the quote of the month........also to be considered for the quote of the year. Nice analogy! Gotta love it....

Rzil, I think just about everyone here would agree that such a situation is outrageous. We are all seeing our preferred alternative to smoking come under attack from every side but the one that counts: the consumers. Do you have any vaping groups that you can get involved with? Organizing and supporting those who oppose such draconian actions is probably the best place to start. I wish you the best of luck.

I don't want to take such a defeatist attitude towards the situation, but with the money that BT has, I can see them going through with all the regulations and innovation in the field will be stifled. I have not read the proposals in their entirety but merely comments from users that have and from what I gather batteries, tanks and hardware should not be regulated (please correct me if i'm wrong). And I believe another user had mentioned this but the flavors themselves will not be regulated its when you mix nicotine in the bunch that it will. So this opens up hopefully a legal work around. Shops sell their same flavors and sell liquid nic separately or there will be separate stores that sell liquid nic and flavored juice where the user has to combine them. And vendors can even state how much nic to mix with liquids etc. With a strong DIY community out there, that information is probably readily available. There just isn't a big enough lobbying group that is as flush with cash as BT is that can compete. I still believe we should fight these regulations to the bitter end.

Thanks CountBoredom,

well people signed a petition which will be given to the supreme court by 1 of our vendors who intends to appeal to the court so we don't really know what's the status .
As I mentioned before we are not so many people so we don't have much of an influence , it's not like in the U.S where you got 1.5-2 million vapers so it depends on the court .

What's odd that they came up with this decision right after they increased the tax for Tobacco , fishy ah? it's just make me sick how governments all over the world are sucking the blood out of people who are addicted to nicotine instead of helping them , how much money does it cost to produce a single pack of smoke? 1$? and they sell it here for about 8.5$ , about half of it is going to the state , that's an a lot of money when 15% of the population smoke in a country of 8 million people .

According the the FDA deeming regs hardware, "used in or intended or expected to be used in an e-cig" must file for application.

Flavors without Nicotine is something i don't know about, yet. But I can only imagine the FDA will require a tobacco license or something similar to purchase or sell Nicotine and the license will be very costly. Especially now we've seen the media (lies) blitz about Nicotine poisoning, etc. Sorry for the doom and gloom but that's the reality.

Today Safta said that one application will cost at least 1 million dollars at the minimum. Each e-liquid, or e-cig application will cost 5000 man hours to complete including studies.

Flavors aren't banned per se but because the manufacturer will have to apply for approval via the application process for each flavor, Nicotine and VG/PB ratio they might as well be. The child- proof cap that some vendors are saying they are already in compliance with is the the least of the e-liquid manufacturers problems.

According to one Senator unless they hear a public outcry they will not intervene with the FDA. And they are the only government agency that has the power to do so. So, every vaper needs to let their reps know exactly how they feel by saving their comments on the deeming regs to send to their senators.

Personally, I'm waiting for direction from CASAA or a similar organization to tell me what to say in my comments, and to senators. I don't want to waste time or energy on comments that aren't helpful.

If advocacy has never been your thing than it's time to educate yourselves on how to do so if we are going to save e-cigs. It will be that or say good-bye to vaping.
Again, I apologize for my rant. It makes me as angry as the OP, rzil. :(

We are going through our own rollercoaster rides with the FDA so it is spreading everywhere, I am assuming there will be some calm conclusion where we will all still be able to vape and the political parties involved will realize they are wasting a lot of money on trying to stop something that is only going to grow!
