Yeah, I was the one who posted the BWB Malty trivia. I like malty better than Ecopure Rich. I'm working on perfecting this blend and I think I'm getting close. Even though EM is the only flavoring, it's getting the right ratio that's the kicker.

Can any of you guys and gals that have tried creating your own EM mixes and the standard 10% EM in PG comment on differences in flavor potentials etc? Does working with a higher concentration of EM let you get different notes, or does it just save you money?

Mixing at a higher concentration makes it richer. What I'm running into is hitting that spot where all of the crystals dissolve.

The dreaded has happened. Sadie, my beloved friend and feline is very sick. She has Grave's Disease (hyperthyrodism). She is down to 5 pounds now. Had no clue she was sick until we took her in for her yearly shots and check-up. We have her on medicine right now. We have another 3 weeks of medicine till they re-test. Feels to me like the lump is getting bigger so my stomach is turning all the time waiting for the 3 weeks. She is not eating good, although she still takes the medicine and her treats. I am singing to her more at night now just to let her know she is so loved. I have had her for 12 years now and I am so thankful the Lord gave her to me. I never thought my husband would like a cat but he also fell in love with her and is sick to his stomach also. Sadie is special to us. She has been friends to 3 of our dogs (who have all passed away now). The dogs loved her...they would sleep cuddled up with her. Will be back in 3 weeks to report the results.

I'm so sad from reading about your beloved Sadie being sick. I hope she responds to the treatment and you get to keep her around at least another 12 years. Here's a big {HUG} for you and hubby. I wish I could do something to help. I have 3 fur babies that I'm very close to so I understand your feelings. God bless and keep us posted.

I can see Heidi's sensitivity in her eyes. Several years back I founded a non-profit animal rescue group and we did a lot of trap and release. In one year we spayed and neutered 900 ferals in our community. Ferals hold a special place in my heart so I applaud you! My health took a turn for the worse and I had to stop. It left me with a whole in my heart.

When you mix the EM in VG you can use 1/4 tsp for 10mLs and warm it to dissolve or you can double the EM if you use PG. If there are some crystals undissolved let them settle to the bottom and take what you need from the top then shake it again. I left it out so I could shake it often.

I researched EM a few weeks ago. The proper dilution for 10% was 1/4 tsp in 8ml. I use a 15 ml bottle, put 1/2 tsp of Em in it and fill to top with PG. Place tightly capped bottle in warm water for an hour. Works great.
