yo vape mongers! ;)
i got my innovapor order a couple days ago which came with 2 manual 510 pv's with the "new" 30k burn atomizers and some "new" longer lasting batteries and 3x3ml bottles of ecopure menthol.

i was really friggin excited about this order; this being my first juice aside from the pre-filled marb high carts i got with my 510 at RMV. SO! i load up an empty cart with this stuff and plug it on...
and the stuff makes me want to wretch...its what i imagine gasoline tastes like, with a bitter burnt rubber flavor mixed with the tingle of fresh mint...

is this normal? is this a bad batch? or the mysterious primer fluid?
has anyone else tried this?

any help would be appreciated.

Actually, once you vape it for a bit it gets better, a lot better. Only thing is that its a VG formula, not pg. I myself find PG a bit better. The eco pure is rather flavorless, however, after a while you start to reach the subtle sweetness. Its actually quite good. The Vapor production is > some of my PG. Hope this helps a bit.

When I got my 510, it had a horrible taste to it. Much as you described it, a very harsh nasty taste. It took the better part of a day of vaping to clear it out. It is likely what you are tasting is old e-liquid used to prime the atomizer during testing. To me, it seems to taste worst in kits where the atomizer has not been sealed in a bag.

i have been using it constantly just in case it is the primer...
and still not much better, not as bitter...not much of an improvement.

oh, and the new innovapor batts last much longer than my RMV's...i vaped all day at work today (6 hour shift), and no blinky death.

so, theres still some plus's.

anyone care to give some instructions of cleaning on atty?
preferably with alcohol?

A new vaporiser is the ideal as used ones will have so much flavour on them and, if used with PG, probably a build up of gunk.
If you use ECOpure from new you will see how clean it runs. It might not rip your throat out
like a wild animal but we feel that is a fair trade off for not using lots of unnecessary chemicals.
All vaporisers should be sealed as nicotine degrades quickly when exposed to air - see 'nicotine oxidisation'.
Some primer liquids are 'not nice' to say the least. Soaking in alcohol with gentle agitation
will help to clear a lot of the bad taste. Always clean when changing flavours.
If you left some whiskey in a glass then used that glass for some Dom Perignon it might not taste nice.
Send the DP to me instead, I have some nice glasses polished ready!;-)
John.

Magnetbox You gave me a start with that first post, sure glad you found the trouble. I just ordered a big lot of ECOpure Krystal, so that was troubling. I guess I'm a Purist, at heart, because I don't much like mucking up the nice clean feeling I got from day one vaping. The mixer is also really important, and here is a product being marketed that acutally looks as if it truly passes the testing (no Pun intended).
Shining Wit is right, the least amount of ingredients in a tested pure (practically) VG/nicotine mix the better. Not only will keep equipment working as long as possible but subjects the user to fewer chances of contamination or possible allergic reactions. I cannot use PG, I used it for two months, with an increasing sense of tension in my chest, then a sore throat, then a full-blown cigarette smoker's hacking and terrific lung pains. Now just one cart of PG makes me feel like I'm strangling, so allergies can be cummulative. I'm going to add one or two absolutes (from real tabacco leaves) and a bit of Ethyl Maltol to smooth them out, that will be it. That's a grand total of 5 ingredients (with tiny amount of distilled water and Vodka or Everclear to suspend the absolute and the EM) So I know 2 are as pure as scientifically possible, the other three can if necessary be eliminated. REALLY, VG is not half bad all by itself, a little boring maybe.
I also want my coffee to be 100% Columbian dark roast, so there you go.

and i agree with you guys, i dont want a whole bunch of unknown additives...thats the reason i tossed the analogs. SO i was really excited about this one being vg and "pure" for lack of a better word.

after reading COUNTLESS amounts of threads on how to "properly clean an atty"...i think i properly cleaned my atty; isopropyl bath for a couple hours followed by drip dry then blowing. i did a direct drip of Eco-menthe and...
its not bad...i taste..a hint of mint...much less ... taste then before. theres still an after taste...kinda rubber tasting, but its mostly alleviated.
im so glad that the niquid wasnt the cause. mostly because i spent all my money on theses 510 starters...now i have to wait to get paid so i can indulge my new hobby.

eastmall sampler order on friday!!!

I think it is the Primer and the prefill carts liquid suck too. I had to puff and blow out - no inhale for about 50 times to get rid of that taste, also did not use the prefill, use the ecopure. Use the Ecopure for few days you would like the it( slowly taste on the exhale) it s kinda low flavour tho. I mix the Ecopure Tobacco med with other PG Marlboro Med to get more flavor and still have good vapor.

I put a drop or two of Rich on almost every cart now - mixes well with all flavors in my rotation - RY3&4, cap., marlboro/newport. I don't mix it with Tenn Cure although I have. I like the TC straight up. I vape Rich straight occasionally if I don't want an overwhelming flavor impinging... not often though.

I'm guessing it's the new atty taste as I have been using ecopure on and off and it is the cleanest tasting of all the juices I have tried... almost too clean :p no throat hit really but tons of vapor which I love... the atty which I also have, the 3x ones have something on them like all attys do... we say primer, the suppliers say its juice... either/or I had to clean them out and 'prime' them myself with my own juice to get the crappy flavor out of there.

Wow, I'm glad I got better answers when I asked this question when I got my first delivery.

It's primer fluid. You don't need to "wait a day until it tastes better". Soak them in water (or vodka, everclear, whatever) for a few hours, blow them out, put them back together, and enjoy.

There are plenty of other methods of getting rid of the primer, but waiting until the taste goes away is by far the worst.
