Okay the VTR seems to work well with my aw batteries, my sanyo batteries, and my red efest, but doesn't seem to like my black efest 3400. It worked good all day, but after the light on the VTR turned yellow the VTR would shut off. It seems like the battery loses its connection. It only seems to do it with this one battery. Should I toss the battery or just add it to my flashlight battery collection?

That 3400 doesn't sound like a 'high drain' battery to me. If I'm correct in thinking you've a protected ICR battery there...it sounds like it might actually be tripping the protection circuit built into the battery. Put it aside for flashlight or some other low current application.

For vaping please use safe chemistry IMR high drain batteries or possibly some of the hybrid NCR high drain batteries.

With regulated mods like the VTR you want a HIGH DRAIN battery rated for 10 or more amps.

Baditude has put together several good blogs on PV batteries.
