Hi all...
I have the Efest Bio V2 charger, and for charging batteries this thing rocks...
one thing I am having an issue with though is the USB ports. I tried hooking up my ipod usb cable to get my ipod charged up, and it doesn't do anything. No power nothing... i've tried several USB cords, and several devices, no power, nothing.
I've also tested the cords and devices on a different USB charger and it worked fine.

Is there something I am missing about this charger? Is there some sort of secret button sequence you need to press to get the USB to work?

How are you trying to use it? with battery in it or plugged in to the wall?

I'm not familiar with this particular charger, but have used similar ones. On the ones I have used, the USB output was powered by a battery loaded into one of the charging bays, not by the external AC. There also may be a switch or button to select the USB output

The most common failure practice I've heard in regards to these kinds of chargers is the user expects the charger to charge via the USB outputs while the charger is on charge mode. That said...

The USB outputs (2) are designed for portability charging. As in, the charger is not plugged in to the wall/outlet and has charged batteries in its slots, like a portable battery. The duration of the charge depends on the battery charge on each slot. Each USB output has a different amp output.

The charger has different charging amp rates.

Adding reference - "The charger has a very functional control panel with one button and 6 leds:
3 red leds for showing charger current (0.5A, 1A, 2A), the button is used to change between them.
2 red/green leds for showing if the batteries are charging (Red when charging, green otherwise).
1 blue led (behind the button) to show when usb out is activated, this is also done with a press on the button.
The red and red/green leds only works when the charger is powered, the usb output blue led only works when the charger is unpowered (i.e. using a battery)."
