I have just upgraded my vaping setup to a sigelei 30 watt box mod with and I bought an Aspire Atlantis tank for it. Would it be a bad idea to use this:Efest IMR 18650 2250mAh 3.7V Rechargeable LiMn High Drain battery- button top-Efest battery for E-cigs battery in my sigelei 30 watt with a 0.5 ohm coil in the Atlantis?

I just want to be able to run my Atlantis with the 0.5 ohms coils that are used with the tank until I can find a battery such as the sonys that everyone raves about(Or something that is safer, with higher amp limits).

I dont even know the AMP limit on the battery above, that i posted in the link. I contacted Efest requesting information on this battery (the amp limit) and I will know soon enough. But in the meantime if some of you junkies out there know any good advice for me on this situation or know alot about batterys let me know what you think I should do in this situation.

Thanks! Please get back with me.

Stosh nailed it W2G. Another great battery you can use is the Samsung 25R which is selling for $6 a piece at Illumn. Both this and the HE2 are 20 amp batteries. At 30 watts you will be drawing a bit over 10 amps when the battery voltage is low.

Also, atty resistance doesn't mater. 30 watts at 2 ohms draws the same amps as 30 watts at 0.5 ohms.

Good luck with it :thumb:

So basically the battery I posted isn't a good choice for my Sigelei 30 watt mini? I assume if I did push it to 30 watts and it hit its limit it would get a little hot? (after reading you alls post I am not going to use this battery in my 30 watt device anyways. Not only because of the amp limit, but because it is a button top and my device recommended a flat top battery in the booklet that came with it. I can see why though, I tried putting my button top battery in the 30 watt mini and it didn't want to go in and I didn't want to force it and mess up any internals on my brand new device. Not worth it when I can get a brand new battery for a little bit of nothin.)

Thank you for the help folks. I have decided it would just be less stress and worry to just go with a brand new battery. Thanks alot for the help! Goodbye.

My purple Efest batteries work fine in my iPV3 150watt. But the highest I go with my Atlantis is 30 watts on the iPV3. I don't see how anyone would want to go any higher with it anyway. With my Mutation X V2 coiled to .4 ohms on the iPV3, I stick anywhere between 45-50 watts and it's good. Batteries don't get hot at all. I'm not sure what would happen with the Sigelei though. Better safe than sorry. But I just figured I'd share my experience on this topic.

I just purchased an EFEST 35Amp, IMR18650, 2500 MAH, Flattop. Its purple in color.

This is what the folks at my local vape shop suggested for the box mod I am using. It seems to be working great so far. No problems and now I don't have the worry no more of going over any amp limits. Im not even close with this running around 25 30 watts at most. So thats a good thing.

Ok so is this battery I have a 20 amp continuous then or what is the continuous rating anyways? And if I did do 35 amps of power (very unlkely) I could take 5-6 second hits and be ok.?

The amps drawn and your watts setting on a regulated mod such as you are using are very different. With a 30 watt regulated output, the 20 watt battery will perform under any conditions your mod can handle. If you exceeded 20 amps, the mod's electronics is going to shut down to protect itself.

The battery you bought is a 20 amp continuous rated. The continuous rating is all you need to know as it's the only one that follows a standard. Pulse ratings are whatever the battery supplier wants to make up, no standards at all.

Using a pulse rating as "safe" is like saying "hold my beer, and watch this..."
